I am more offended that a athlete who has played pro basketball in Europe can now come and play college ball here.

Any reasonable adult who doesn’t think this way and shits on Kate is a much bigger piece of shite and immature snowflake than they are pathetically calling her out as. Completely incapable of understanding nuance and trying to see different perspectives in good faith.
But this is the Rant, a place where a lot of them come to congregate and spew their ignorances and hatreds while hiding behind the anonymity it provides.

Koval has issues with Russia, the country that is destroying her country. Koval's dad is risking his life fighting for Ukraine. If Koval does not want to play with someone from Russia, that is her business and is understandable.
Perhaps the young lady from Russia has relatives in the Russian military; I do know this to be a fact and either do you.
I wish Koval well, and I will be cheering for the Russian girl at LSU.

I don't have to say or assume anything about anyone's feelings. I don't even know for a fact why Kate is leaving, yet everyone, yourself included, assumed it's because of the Russian. Maybe don't be a hypocrite.
Regardless of how anyone "feels", I don't think it is right to hold a grudge against all Russians, based on the actions of a dictator.

I don't base my beliefs, political opinions or emotions on what the poliboard says. Do you? And have I read that board? Yeah. I've read it enough to know that they (most of them) don't care that someone looks different than them. People care about one's ideology, as it says everything about them. it's not about where you're from or what you look like; it's about what do you believe and who do you associate with.
But if the poliboard DID judge people based on what they look like or where they are from, and if Kate thought just like they do, how is that a defense of her character?

I'm not particularly concerned with whether or not anyone in this thread said she deserved to be hated. It's not about them. But IF Kate left because of the Russian, what do you call that, if not hatred? If simply knowing that a person is from a certain country makes you want to leave, even though that person has not spoken support for the dictator who runs her country, then she's not judging morally, but rather based on prejudice towards a nationality.
I don't trust people who are supportive of things I don't stand for. When I hear someone say "free palestine", for instance, I immediately think "here's a person who supports terrorism". But if someone is an Arab who doesn't show support for any of that garbage, I can get along with that person.
People can make all the excuses they want about feelings because of the war, but they will only be excuses. Anna is not at war with anyone.

The people of the two countries are not at war with each other. Putin and his military are warring against Zelensky and his military. And Putin's desire to take over previously Russian states does not necessarily reflect the desire of those who live in Russia.

Not a fan of this move by Mulkey - if Koval wasn’t comfortable with bringing in a Russian player then it shouldn’t have happened.

Yeah, a coach needing permission from a player to bring in another player is a great way to coach a team. Definitely would work out.

If the SEC rule makes the Russian ineligible to play in the conference due to her time in MBA Moscow league, does Mulkey try to get Koval back and would she go back?
