When your nation is at war with a power that is hell bent on destroying your people, your language, your culture in a mass genocide.....
When you have seen countless loved ones die.....for no rhyme or reason whatsoever ....
It is hard to accept and be friends with that nation........
Hitler and the Nazis committed genocide. To say the German people, of that generation, who lived and breathed in Nazi Germany were not culpable....is wrong?
One man may take a nation to war! But it takes a nation to go to war.

Her father is literally active military fighting in the war. So, you don't think that's relevant in this situation?

If their parents run rival clothing boutiques, I’d agree. When they’re trying to kill each other over national sovereignty I think things are a little more nuanced.

I agree. Thats a huge stretch. Probably was in the videos of nightclubs partying at 3am. Funny how that got forgotten.
