Now I don't think LSU's Oline was the best of 2019, but how can you fire the OL coach of the JMA winning line for not being good?

maybe the head coach disagreed with that assessment? It's not like Brady was some sort of super experienced coach that people listen to about everything.

It doesn’t matter what you say. Some of these people will literally reach for anything to put down O. It’s really strange

We went from 23 passing attempts per game in 17 to 30 passing attempts per game in 18. It wasn't a drastic change, but we definitely opened up the offense.

For reference, 2019 only had 33 passing attempts per game.

If he would have stayed he could name his choices. He was the fricking O coordinator, idiot

And those 13 extra passes netted us like 20
More passing yards a game.

We just passed more the passing offense was as tight and as shitty as ever.

O probably would have been fine with it as long as Brady conducted all of the interviews for him

No one claimed the offense was good, but it was no longer jet sweep left/right or toss dive every third play.

Just like with any other company on the planet, finding suitable replacements for incompetent people is often an administrative burden, especially considering ongoing projects that need to be completed.

You can’t just fire everyone who underperforms immediately and expect their replacement to be an upgrade. Just not how the world works.

The dude is gone, after like 3 seasons (one of which his unit won the award for tops in the country). This is the real world and it is often just hard to move faster than that.

Once Brady left I think O went into full “continuity” mode. He just needed to keep every remaining coach from the 2019 offense.

Munoz going to Baylor and Magnus going with Brady didn’t help.

Cregg kinda always sucked though. 0 picks in the first 2 rounds in 3 years. The Ol regressed mightily this year.

Even guys who had played a lot in 2019, like Ingram, Deculus and Rosenthal.

So you wanted in 2020 for O to fire the coach of the OL of the Year in 2019... I dont care what you say about his coaching abilities the optics of firing Cregg last season would have been horrible.

In his defense, the offense did open up after E was promoted due to the shite hiring of Matt "Air ?" Canada.

I'm anxious to see if he does all the shifting as the oc and playcaller in Pittsburgh this year.
I dont think he will. If he has a good year and they dont do all the shifting then maybe that will make people feel like coach o was right for not wanting to him to do it so much. I thought it was gimmicky as frick.

I mean yeah ,he hasnt had any high picks, but you cant say that you thought damien Lewis and lloyd cushenberry would be nfl starters from day one. They were drafted in the 3rd I think. I'm sure he developed them somewhat.
Then add in the joe moore award and it's just not really possible to fire the guy after 2019. Not to mention ,o had to keep whoever he could talk into staying or we wouldnt have had anything left from 2019

Once again it shows how Brady and other hands on coaches can evaluate actual coaching, and someone like O can only look from the outside at certain results

The Joe Moore award had nothing to do with Cregg’s coaching. It was because of Burrow’s great pocket awareness and ability to use his legs combined with Brady’s quick passing game.

Maybe Joe Burrow made Brady as well. How did Brady's offense fare last season at Carolina?
How did Creggs O linemen fare in their rookie season in the NFL?

We will see who makes the playoffs first in the NFL, Brady or Burrow.

Better to shite on the guys and gals being paid millions to win rather than the players who don’t get paid right?

By continuity do you mean hired a bunch of his buddies? Because that’s what he did and what he’s done anytime the pressure to win let’s up in the slightest.
