If it's so bad that we run out if pitching, we probably only need to get through 6 or 7 depending on home/road. I dont think a forfeit would be necessary.

I've gotten some major downvotes before but this is a bad post.

I'd rather take my chances with Moffitt, Ripol, Gunter, or Threadgil having the outings of their lives than give up.

Plus Cabrera can give you some innings and Hill might just have to suck it up. Also Henry's pitch count wasn't that high on Tuesday.

It's really bad. We are nowhere near out of pitchers. We're just close to out of good pitchers.

This thought actually crossed my mind as well. I mean, what would you do if you run out of pitchers? And LSU went through several in the last 24 hours, the last 48 hours. I don't really have an answer. The competitor in me says find someone. Never give up. But the realist in me says if you don't have a pitcher you just can't play. So, IDK.

Get our biggest soft baller to pitch- they can throw 180 pitches.

no , but here is a idea. He does have a nice arm. Put him on the mound to eat up some innings when the pitching goes dry

I doubt any of this happens but if LSU were to somehow win this game today with Meffitt, Ripoli, Threadgill, etc. I can see Henry starting tomorrow for 3-4 innings probably a 40-50 pitch count and hope you have a big lead and piece it together grime there. Win that and Sunday would be Hess, Beck, Hilliard, Fontenot, and Peterson piecing it together in short bullpen type stints.

Not sure if you remember that correctly or not but I distinctly remember a late 90’s Sunday game vs Ole Miss where Ryan Theriot pitched to close out the game.

ETA - correction. It was April 14, 2001. A Saturday game and we lost to Ole Miss 23-10.

We would throw people on short rest or if they’re all hurt; position players. Cabrera has pitched

Not sure about that, but I do know that he can't hit a 70mph fastball.

You want to tell a kid with a strained UCL to go out there & throw?

A win in a conference tournament is more important than a kids future?

You can’t be serious

I remember several years ago we were playing some in state school and we got up 15 runs or so very early. They went through about 5 pitchers and just said frick it and quit.

Never in the SEC tournament though. We got guys who pitched in high school.
