Nuss has been getting too much interior pressure and doesn't make quick enough decisions. They might need to look into keeping a back in for protection more often

We've been outscored 100-35 over the last 10 quarters. We have 3 touchdowns in our last 27 drives, and one of those came at the very end of the Alabama game and we were down 42-6 at that point.

Part of that is personnel, but the buck stops with Sloan and it's what he is getting paid millions of dollars to fix and figure out. Call plays that score touchdowns.

There is no creativity or rhythm in our offense. Everything just looks difficult and is hard to watch. No jet sweeps, no bubble screens, etc.

We have zero redzone offense.

We've thrown deep shots to keep the defense honest, but more often than not, it's a wasted play and does not work and puts us behind in downs.

We have no threat to run the ball at all, so the defense can just play pass every down.

No coach is perfect, but this is problem is way beyond a couple of headscratching play calls here and there.

I guess they are planning on Underwood making something happen with his legs if the play breaks down

Which will happen a ton because the line does not look to be very good next season.

And couple that with him being a freshman (if Underwood is indeed the starter) we’re going to be behind the chains a bunch next year probably.

When this happened at notre dame it resulted in kelly basically taking over. He was actually a really good offensive mind...but at nd he showed a dependency on vertical routes, especially fades and back shoulder throws. He ignored the wrs across the middle, that was te territory only. It was effective and easy to learn...but defenses knew what he was doing too. It was up to the players. And omg if a qb makes a mistake lol. He ruined multiple good qb recruits and stuck with whoever was the highest floor lowest ceiling... Ie ..ian book.

If he survives this year he basically guarantees himself 3 years with underwood.

He could be JD 2.0 and it wouldn't matter with these retards we have calling the plays. Guess the Rant is onboard with tanking this season to snag a high school kid who has all the potential in the world but hasn't played a down of college football.

Move him and Hankton where they should be. Qb Coach and WR coach. Go get an experience play caller.

This board was absolutely melting it's face off Saturday because LSU kept throwing "sideways passes" which were usually flares or bubble screens.

The jet sweep didn't have a lot of fans either.

So this underwood kid is that good? Putting all the eggs in that basket is extremely risky

He appears to be really good. Will it translate to college? Only time will tell. That being said, he isn’t the ONLY egg we are putting in the basket. The class coming in (provided it all holds together) has a ton of eggs.

Anyone think the coaches are preaching to Nuss not to run because they know we don’t have any chance with any of the backups? We know he is a big trust guy to a fault where he plays some older guys over younger ones at times due to that. Just wondering cause Nuss has shown he can run some just doesn’t.

Well the run game wasn’t very good before.

but Dellinger has been good in pass protection.

We’re definitely worse this year without him. but I am hoping Mubenga isn’t part of the plan next year.

the run play calls were terrible. durham runs to the outside and magically LSU has a run game again.
