Always find these comparisons to be dumb. There is no correlation between Harbaugh (or Saban) and BK

LOL. Looking at these statements reminds me of the people, Probably most of these posters, who said JD sucked and would never change. He is who he is and will never get better. LOL. There is no guarantee Nuss can't improve. If Kelly gets a couple of Oline transfers and an experienced OC and some of our receivers step up there is no reason Nuss can't play well enough with this offense to be successful. I believe the defense will also be improved next year. But all this "never" talk is just a replay of Jayden Daniels.

I have absolutely no problem with BU doing what he did...go chase your money to your state flagship and get paid...cause no matter what happens unless he wins two nattys while hes there it'll be an under-performance compared to the 10-12.5M he just got paid. I highly doubt the natty comment with Moore as coach, to me this spells R. Sheppard wasted talent type situation.

We've seen too much recent success with second year QBs and a returning OC. Let it ride on the Nuss Bus. Nobody is getting rid of BK with his buyout for another 2-3 years barring a massive implosion to 6-6 or something.

We lack serious potential at skill positions outside of Caden. Bring in the class we have together. And another good transfer WR possibly. See where it goes.

LSU must win these final two games to gain some much needed momentum going into 2025. This game against Vandy is huge.

I believe Nuss will improve next year...hopefully, he commits to being better in the offseason, like Burrow and Daniels did after their first years in the program.

I'm with you. Nuss has the opposite issue of Daniels and his in-season reaction to throwing picks has been more stifling to him than Daniels being overly cautious with the ball.

I will also say they he has looked off on his deep throws in particular since about the 4th game or so. It has made me wonder if there is some physical issue not being talked about.

I agree with this

Hopefully BK does some soul-searching and an honest assessment of coaching performance this year and fix what can be fixed.

I think he already knows some of the things he needs to work on but maybe feels midseason is a difficult time to fix some of those things. At least I hope that is the case.

Nick Saban went 8-5 in his third year at LSU and won the Natty the next season. then went 9-3

People thought it was delusional to think JD would be great but after the 1st year he turned it around. I think Nuss can do the same. Could have had more to do with the OC but we will have to see.

Nuss needs to condition on the off seasom, try to pick up a step or two and get stronger to take hits. He will need to run more to improve his game and the teams chance to have a great year.

Nuss does; Kelly doesn’t.

good point...if there is a physical issue with him trying to throw deep, it might explain why the team on multiple occasions did not try to throw hail mary's before the end of a half.

I know. If Nuss doesn't come back, BK will be in a world of shite this time next year with LSU fans demanding his head on a platter. We could then only hope the buyout will still be too high. But if the team really tanks, 1999 style, I don't think any buyout would be too high.

8-4 is a whole universe better than 4-8.

If Nuss is the #4 QB prospect he’s probably gone
I wouldn't be so sure of 2 things:

1. That Nuss finishes as the #4 QB prospect
2. That the #4 QB prospect will even be drafted in the 1st (maybe not even 2nd) round.

I'm gonna bet Nuss bets on himself and wants to prove he can be a top tier QB as opposed to hoping to be selected in the 2nd round.

This sounds great but Nuss has been in the program for years and has had time to learn the offense and still shite the bed

Doesn't matter how long he's been at LSU, he wasn't seeing the field because he was behind a heisman winner. And practice is no where near the same as live game time. In practice there's no consequences for bad throws. Neither Burrow nor Daniels were great in their 1st yr of starting at LSU, and Daniels was a 4 yr starter! While Burrow hadn't had real game time, just like Nuss, Burrow vastly improved his 2nd yr starting, which is think Nuss will do the same. He definitely has the potential to do, he can make everything throw on the field

That turd Underwood played us the entire time to get more money out of Michigan. Glad we didn't pay him. I hope he is a big bust.

This is the only thing I disagree with. He’s a kid. I think he wanted to be a Tiger, but he probably had pressure from his family, extended family, teachers and classmates, pastor, etc. When you are 17 and someone offers you $12 mil, you lose whatever sense of reality you had, which is already skewed at a young age.

If you wanna blame anybody, blame the system, Portnoy, and influencers.

As for him being a bust…I don’t care either way. He’s not going to a rival of LSU. The amount of 5-star QBs that stay at the school with which they signed and succeeded at a high level isn’t crazy high.

Nuss doesn't have the ability to free-lance like JD. He leaves way too many yards on the field because won't run.

Nuss will never, ever develop into what Burrow was. Burrow was a stone cold killer. He threw balls into tight windows. He ran when needed. Burrow threw 11 int's in his 2 years at LSU. Nuss has 11 this season. Nuss has horrible mechanics throwing off his back foot.

I'd go even further and say people need to chill on believing the media and finebaum narratives. Lsu finishing 9 and 4 this year isn't the end of the world and the recruiting class should have never been the focus OVER what he does in the portal in a couple of weeks.

Upgrade the defense and secure a good O line and you're going to be very very competitive next year.

Look at this JuJu to colorado narrative. The truth is juju was the second best qb recruit going to usc this year not 2nd best in ncaa according to 247.

I’m pretty sure that’s why he won’t run ever. When he does, he looks so un-athletic and stiff - I think he’s got some kinda leg/ankle problem.
