basketball isn't like any other sport... If you can recruit you can turn a team around in one full cycle.

Okay I may have to take back my previous reply. You simply must be trolling here. Absolutely nobody can be enough of a fricktard to truly believe this.

Recruiting has now boiled down to one thing, NIL money. I know that football is playing catch up in this regard and basketball is apparently playing second fiddle to football.

This season, I watched the most frustrating team I've ever watched! Let the players go if they don't want to be here. Give me competent, hard working players and coaches. I can live with fewer 4 & 5 star players that feel entitled and play with no cohesion.

I'm looking forward to better coaching and smarter players.

You too would have fired Wade had you been AD

Woody isn't putting his arse on the line for Wade.

No way in hell before the tournament. I’d have evaluated afterwards. But while we were playing?

No. Comment.

Agreed, we need to keep some of those guys.
But the great thing about basketball versus football is b-ball rosters can be turned over and drastically improved in one year. Football takes multiple years in almost every case.
McMahon gets 1-2 game changers (not necessarily 5 stars) and
develops them in the summer and fall and we are right back in the 2nd or 3rd round of the NCAAs.

They do not want to be at LSU; they decided to leave.

Let me see here, you want woodward fired because he fired the coach who was responsible for loic and had like 6 level 1 violations?

On an amended contract btw.
He had no choice, the results are expected. Everyone has said from the start that every player will hit the portal. One or two will come back if no interest in portal by other schools

It’s Woodward’s responsibility through McMahon to keep this team together since he’s the one who fired the General.

The Wade superfans are easily the dumbest people on this board. Give it up loser, I enjoyed watching Wade coach but his tenure was a total clusterfrick from start to finish and that’s no one’s fault but his own

Which players on last year’s roster were 4 and 5 star recruits? Seems there were some. How many of the starting 5 and sixth man were HS 4 and 5 stars? I don’t follow basketball recruiting much.

Since you posted this I am guessing you know since the roster was on 13 players max.

So let's say theoretically LSU would have decided not to fire Wade, you think these players all still transfer due to the belief that LSU is about to face harsh penalties?

You can pass on Reid. I'd like to see a team not start off in foul trouble for once.

I think almost all of them would, yes.

Another factor to think about is that these guys were sold on Wade's system where he allows his players a ton of freedom. From the limited stuff I've seen on McMahon, he's got a much more disciplined approach and wants the players to do specific things in his system.

Do you not think a 'university' president has a little more on his mind than talking personally with a ball player?

You must not have seen very much basketball in your life. Especially LSU basketball. That "most frustrating team" was still able to earn the second highest seed in the NCAA Tournament of any LSU team 15 years
