Snaps so far after two games…..

Thomas - 81
Brown - 79
A. Anderson - 69
N. Anderson - 58
K. Parker - 56
Hilton 6th at -55 with no production.

I didn't realize N. Anderson's had that many snaps.

He was on the field probably close to half the snaps.

There are a lot of things a receiver needs to do well aside from being the target for long balls.

Hilton's tangible skill is straight line speed and deep ball routes. We're not throwing the ball deep. No use for Hilton.

He's not running crisp routes therefore he is not getting separation.

That makes you invisible to QBs.

Rather see more Kyle Parker or throw in the freshman Ta’ron

Wow. To go to from being chosen to attend SEC media days to not even getting on the field. Not ideal.

He’s on the field.

Nuss hasn’t been able to get him the ball yet despite trying.

For Hilton to be effective, we need to be able to run the ball to bring the safeties down.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but why? Parker has played the same amount of snaps and only has one reception. Francis hasn’t even been on the field so I’m not sure about that one either

I had big hopes for him after watching him HS. But it's been 5 years, and it's pretty clear he's just a track athlete playing football. He wouldn't be the first, far from it. But it is what it is. There's a role for him, but it's as a straight-line burner. LSU hasn't gone to those types of routes much in the first two games.

He'll make some plays on some deep balls this year and that will be great. But those expecting big production should probably temper those expectations

Offensive line has been bad and therefore we have to resort to short passes where run-after-the-catch is more important. This is obviously not Hilton’s strong suit (see Clemson 4th down) and so he’s just not as valuable for our style of offense. Brown, A Anderson, and Thomas are just much better options.

I thought I was gonna see Hilton going off on someone on the sidelines.

Because Hilton is a senior and has cost us multiple penalties, a turnover, and body language looks awful. He doesn’t act like a senior. I’m ready to see others

Again, hope I’m wrong. He shined on bad teams last year but kept costing LSU in big games. Maybe he comes in clutch but I have yet to see that.

Why so many people are stuck on the idea that Hilton can is the make or break piece for LSU being a playoff team last year and this year remains one of the greatest mysteries
especially when we grabbed two starter quality wideouts in portal. Obviously the staff was not that sold.

The same OL that gave up a ton of sacks to Florida last year was the same OL that was on the field vs. Oklahoma (where LSU took multiple deep shots to Hilton). Then, in the bowl game vs. Baylor, LSU only had two regular OL starters in the game...one being the weak link of the OL (Chester). Yet, they took deep shots to Hilton.

The OL held up vs. Clemson for the most part. I don't think it's an issue of being worried about the OL. I think it is an issue of Sloan having not figured out what approach he wants to take with the offense. On defense Baker has several pieces and has figured out what he wants his identity to be. On offense Sloan has several good pieces, but no identity. He's trying bits of things here and there, ultimately resulting in inefficiency

Hilton is a lot like nuss. Can either look like WR1 or WR6 in the blink of an eye. Top line skills are tantalizing but hardly consistent. His effort & concentration are frequently in question.

31 Snaps Total - 20 Passing - 11 Running

1 Target on a deep ball. He's getting reps but not necessarily making a huge impact. I expect some big plays out of him but A. Anderson & Brown are their two guys that get a lot of targets. I think outside of that, it will fluctuate game to game.
