Solutions that will never happen but would work IMO:

1. Stop putting the games on tv. If the only way people can see the game is to be at the game, they will stay.

2. Tailgating cannot start til 3 hours before game time. If people aren’t so drunk/worn out before the game, they’ll have more energy at the game. Also, no ticket to the game, not allowed on campus.

3. Lower ticket prices so the common man can afford them, and stop selling any tickets but the suites to corporate entities.

4. Decrease stadium capacity to decrease traffic before and after the game

They throw the ball past the 3rd down marker.
Have yall seen our offensive line play? You’re crazy if you think that on third down when the defense knows LSU will be passing, that Nuss is going to have enough time to wait until the receivers get far down the field to throw the ball. He has NO time! This is why we rely on short passes.
Advanced metrics which take into account strength of schedule and compares opponents has implied point totals of 25 for Vandy and 19 for LSU. Take that for what you will.

That said I expect Pavia to shite the bed and press and throw three picks. One return for TD, yet we still only score 23 and win by 6
Yeah the same thing was said about the Ole Miss QB and we all see how that worked out. Truth is Pavia doesn’t even throw the ball much. Vandy runs a hybrid option type offense with way more running than passing so for him to throw 3 ints would be nearly impossible. But you keep your dreams alive and the rest of us will live in reality!

I think he could’ve done a better job of managing expectations this year, especially knowing how bad then offensive line was going to be and adding in the Nuss injury. Yes, people would’ve criticized him for that as well (no win situation) but at least the semi-rational fans would’ve appreciated the honesty and prepared for this poor showing to start the season. Instead, everyone but the sunshine pumpers are pissed off and expectations going forward are in the tank.

Would you say Ohio State was “firing on all cylinder's” going into the playoffs last year after losing to Michigan?

Are you really comparing us to Ohio State? We have not played anything close to good football this year. At least OSU showed they were good at times last year.

Just get to the playoffs. Anything can happen.
I hate this saying! No, anything cannot happen! If you play like shite like we have been lately, you get your arse stomped in the playoffs! This team is playing nowhere close to good enough to make the playoffs, much less win a game against a good team. Good luck with that “just get to the playoffs” bullshite.
Just bet the under every game. Easy money.
Don’t really have a choice. The money is not there to fire him…yet.

BK begged Nuss to come back this year

I think it would take a season ending type injury for BK to bench Nuss. It won’t be for just bad play. He’ll see this season go down in flames before he benches Nuss.

Not to my eyes. Looked like a clean play when replayed.
Purple and Gold glasses in full effect!!
When was the ball tipped? Pickett literally threw the WR out of the way to pick the ball.
We’ve proven we can’t run the ball against a 3 man line and dropping 8 shuts down our passing game. Not to mention that Ole Miss has one of the worst defenses in the SEC. Vanderbilt may be the only defense on par with Ole Miss left on our schedule. This team is in serious trouble.
Not worried about LSU stopping Ole Miss. it’s whether our offense will be able to consistently score enough.
quote:

I believe that the offensive line will finally have the kinks worked and with improved run blocking and consistent protection for Nuss who will finally be healthy enough to sling it around the yard and make excellent use of the deep threats from multiple receivers.
So other than your BELIEF, what has lead you to this conclusion? Why now? Provide evidence to support your theory.

We win the game on Coaching period. BK out coached Kiffin by a mile. That’s precisely why we won the game.
That and Tre Harris dropping a wide open TD in the first quarter.
quote:

LSU is a good team. Anyone who thinks otherwise is foolish. However, the expectations for this season, which are not unreasonable given all of the variables (year 4 for BK, huge investment in the transfer market, 5th year returning starter at QB, etc, etc,) go beyond simply being "good". LSU has been "good" for the last 3 seasons. It's to be a national championship contender. Defensively LSU looks the part. Offensively they SHOULD look the part...but they don't right now. After watching a team just two seasons ago waste an elite performance on once side of the ball because the other side was well below average, fans have reason to express concern.
This might be the best, most reasoned post I have ever read on the rant! Well done sir!

Lagway is the best QB we will face all year. I don’t care what anyone says, he is a helluva QB and we made his night miserable. If he can’t beat us through the air I don’t see how this John Melvin College transfer can
Its Kiffin I worry about, not the QB. Lagway would be great in Kiffin’s system, as would many other QBs. That’s the beauty of it.

The talent upgrades and coaching (pointed out in detail multiple times by Saban, one of the greatest defensive minds in the history of the sport) are evident to anyone who knows anything about ball.
I don’t think anyone doubts that the defense is WAY better than in past years, however, it remains to be seen how good they actually are bc they have yet to be tested by a good offense.

Ole Miss’s defense is bad BUT…

If we leave their defensive linemen unblocked (like we have done every game so far), it doesn’t matter who we are playing. It is maddening that our line continues to miss blocks bc they don’t know who to block on a given play. I’d rather have lesser talented players that know what to do than a more talented player who has no clue. I realize we have new players at multiple positions on the line this year, but these guys have been on the team for multiple years. This should not be happening as often as it does.
