I could never give it up, because I'm mentally weak.

I don’t keep up with recruiting and things like that nearly as much anymore. That’s probably a mix of me getting older and all of the transfers, NIL, etc. But when the season comes around, I’m just as invested as I was before.

It's more interesting to me, like a game within the game. Plus it gives me something to focus on in the off-season

I'm actually more interested now. Why? Because parity is all over now. If NIL has done anything positive for the sport it has made it way more competitive. You're seeing teams like Indiana win NCs. How can anyone not like to see this if you enjoy the sport? It's way more interesting now because anyone can go. In the past, it was just about 10 universities or so at so high of a dominance factor, nobody else had a chance. Even some NC games you knew would be a blowout.

Yep. No connection with players any longer since no one sticks around.

Handing out millions to mercenaries. Mansoor Delane could walk into the room with a mansoor delane shirt on and I wouldn’t know who he was. Thanks for the good year, I guess

Ill watch on saturdays but no longer invested

Yea.

I don’t hate myself if I miss a game these days.

Probably more invested now. Most SEC games are decided by a score or less.

CFB really needs to focus on portal, keeping regular season important, shortening playoffs/timeline.

TP and NSD needs to be AFTER season

Well if you like college football, what choice do you have? It’s the only game in town so to speak.

This is pretty much how I feel now. I’m just rooting for jerseys and helmets. How disingenuous is it for players to gather in the North end zone singing the alma mater ending with “FOREVER L-S-U” after a win when you know half of them are going to enter the portal?

I follow less but that is mostly due to having 2 kids since 2021.

But I still watch every game and check the recruiting and post here.

I just used to know every player on the team

Overall I like the fact that it levels the playing field and Alabama can’t buy national championships

Sadly the answer is less.

I used to be a rabid fan who couldn’t get enough LSU FB content. Now I’m fine with getting into it come mid August.

It’s hard to be invested when it doesn’t feel like the teams and players aren’t here long enough to learn and see growth.

I will 1000% be at games and still watch though. But the ancillary interest is gone for me.

lack of regionality changed it for me.

NCstate vs Stanford is a nothingburger.

But it started long ago.

The deterioration of the big east is what did it for me.

Much less for both. I still get into the games when they're happening, but don't think much about it as soon as it's over.

I was never a big NFL fan for the same reasons that I'm now less of a CFB/LSU fan.

The current state of things has reduced my enjoyment of the sport. I don't feel like it is an LSU team the way I did in the past. I feel like I am watching a team of mercenaries.
