After 2 weeks my mother was saying we should have hired Napier. I said in 5 years Napier will no longer be the coach at UF and LSU will have a national championship with Kelly. I'm pretty confident

I never liked Glenn Guilbeau. He just has a smug way about him and I wish he would take LSU out of his twitter handle.

45 days later…a lot of rewriting history can happen…unless integrity exists:

Day 1 - I don’t like Guilbeau
Day 45 - I still don’t like Guilbeau

I just don't understand his approach. I haven't read an article of his in years either. I just got tired of reading overall negative opinions from an LSU beat writer. I don't expect everyone to be sunshine pumpers, but man he was just miserable to read.

I’d rather not wake up with someone’s balls on my chin.

I know it's petty but I love clicking on anything he posts on Twitter and just reading all the replies

Also he looks like if Dilbert was a real person

ETA: Napier before halftime was on some Les Miles level stupidity. 3 timeouts in your pocket and about 10 yards away from FG range. But instead you run the clock all the way down, only burn one timeout, and play for a hail mary throw to the endzone. One of the dumbest things I've ever seen.

Napier was a major gamble on the part of Florida while BK was a home run hire, based on resumes, for LSU.

Having said that, it’s way too early to be making any damning or applauding judgments on the hire of either. imo

Well, this is a pretty obvious prevarication. A respectable journalist never wants to be caught in this situation and immediately apologizes and explains if it does occur.
With , GG, however, that credibility was squandered long ago.
Rest assured that he takes comfort in juvenile comments he receives in response, as this thread illustrates, and imagines that all of his critics are stupid and immature.

He may be right still.

He is an idiot for backing off his position. Napier very well could be the next "nicer Saban" ULL folks think he is. When you make a stand you usually hold that position longer than a month. What a dumb arse.

Kelly is proven at the top levels. Napier is an upcoming coach. I would have been happy with his hire. I also thought Kelly was a MEH hire in December. I am willing to say I was wrong about that.

Napier was a lazy hire by UF. He may work out, he may not, but I really don’t think cutting your teeth as a P5 HC at Florida was a smart move. It’s a pressure cooker like all big SEC programs.

Napier’s presser post-LSU was very uninspiring and low-energy.
