To be fair, you are comparing Nuss to 2 Heisman trophy winners that are both in the top 5 QBs all-time in LSU history.

Nuss was higher regarded than both going into their senior seasons. He regressed and they took huge leaps forward. Expecting Nuss to improve from last year and be a really good QB was not unreasonable.

Between the rumors of Nuss not being a hard worker and the way he plays the game in fear, it really looks like he just doesn’t enjoy football.
If you put him behind an OL that has LSU/SEC caliber Coaching and Personnel, he'd look much better. He's scared to death and has no time behind that OL. I'm still as to why BK9.9 hasn't made a move there.

If LSU and Vandy swapped QBs last saturday, LSU wins that game by double digits. There's no doubt in my mind.

I agree with this Nuss just looks confused, panicked and slow most of the time. He does not have command of the offense like you thought he would this year given his experience. I know OL is bad but Nuss has been average at Best.

but anybody that thinks Nuss played well or even "okay" on saturday is a buffoon

Youre an idiot!!

Nuss might finish his career as the leading passer in LSU history. That record is currently held by Tommy Hodson (who started all 4 years), with 9,115 yds. Nuss currently has 7,410 yds, with 5 to 6 games left. Even at his current pace for 2025 (which you claim is worse than a high school QB) he will likely finish with 1170 or 1404 more yards (with a bowl game)

Either total puts him above Joe Burrow into 2nd place all-time, and only 300 yards shy (or 50 ypg) from being #1

I like Flynn, but he has little room to talk. He only shows up in the LSU record books once. And thats 9th place in TDs per year, where Nuss is 3rd. Max Johnson has better LSU stats than Flynn does

You simply dont put up all-time numbers if you cant read defenses or are afraid to play. Hes likely afraid to end his career on some stupid blind side tackle, because no one on the line protects him. Not a single one of his lineman is SEC caliber this year

Completely agree with your take. He is definitely getting pressured more times than he should. That is not up for debate. However, him not being able to read simple things that, like Flynn said, have to be read are what are upsetting most fans. What made Burrow so great is his ability to read and react quickly to what the defense was showing him. I know it helps to have the receiving corp he had but what also helped was Burrow being able to dissect the play quickly and make the right read. When you can do this, you eliminate a bad O-line because you don't give the defense time to hit you. There are plays to be made, even with this O-Line, that are simply not being made. The rumors about his lack of preparation appear to be true with the product we are seeing. What could never be said about BUrrow was his preparation leading up to the game. This, maybe more than anything else, allowed him to be as successful as he was. If Nuss is not going to put in the time away from Saturday to prepare, it's time to let another QB try. Also, if he is not putting in the time, that is also on the coaching staff. They should be also seeing what Flynn is seeing and getting on him about missing these simple plays. The one play you mentioned is an easy first down on a drive that resulted in a field goal when it easily could've resulted in a TD. These are the plays that ultimately cost teams games when you don't make simple reads and decisions.

You sure take it personally that Nuss is struggling.

He is either not putting in the time or isn’t able to read a defense.

useless counting stats.

What’s Nuss’ yards per attempt and where does that land?

I take it personally that a kid who bucked the NiL trend and stayed loyal to LSU, is regularly being shite upon by dipshit assholes, when his own coaches gave him no OLine or skill players worth a shite

And when we finally all get to the conclusion that it actually is the coaches fault for the decline in LSU, figs still get on here and try to take down a kid closing in on all-time records for LSU

He’s a professional athlete.

He’s being paid millions.

I'm guessing he meant the 'leave for the NFL early' trend because Nuss is getting NIL $ isn't he?

He got hit or pressured I think 43 or 46 % of his dropbacks last Saturday. That's horrendous OL play. PFF grades were last Saturday : Moore 79.4 , Echols 67.7 , Chester 47.6 , Thompson 46.4 , Davis 23.7

I was at the game Saturday, Ñuss was the least of our problems. In fact, he made a couple of great plays under duress. Lastly, Ñuss don't play defense. And defense was our problem Saturday, as time of possesion proves. Next.

This is 100% true, but it also means he is going to focus heavily on the QB and put more emphasis on everything the QB does.

Honest question, if we had last year's OL right now, would we be 5-2? If you answer is yes, then Nuss is the problem. If your answer is no, then you found the main issue.

in an RPO everything starts with the QB

Flynn's really being an a-hole here. Flynn wasn't asked to do anywhere close to what Nuss is asked to do in this pass happy offense and with this shitty OL. Even then, Flynn wasn't reading defenses well when he shite the bed against Kentucky and Arkansas in 2007. He couldn't read defenses enough to become a starter in the NFL.

It's pretty shitty of him to sit on his perch right now and critique a guy who's being asked to do more than he ever had to do as a QB.
