Watch the breakdown. There were a few RPOs that Sam pulled to throw when he definitely should have handed off. Would’ve been big gains and in 2 of them he doesn’t even throw and gets suck or gets barely back to the line

Sam made the wrong read of several rpos that could’ve been good gains by the rb

I’m trying to make myself feel better by taking solace in the fact that we played like absolute arse the first half and STILL should’ve beaten them.

OL lacks meanness

The O-Line lacked any form of aggression under Kelly. that is what I hated most about the last few years.

This years is considerably better, or was the first 2 games. this week was terrible.

I’ve heard that point raised.

Imagine watching the game in a bar in Grand Isle, where half the patrons are related to Bordelon, and the rest love him because “he talks like us”. While Herbie is circling him spinning around as they are blowing past him. Awkward. He was God awful.

Texas d line has some dudes. Bama isn’t a pushover on their D line as well.

Not good.

Bordelon looked like Jennifer Echols out there. She should lodge a complaint for domestic abuse.

Easy to say when everyone knows Leavitt is not a good passer.

You had to watch film to come to this epiphany?

Another year, same story. We’ve been sorry in the trenches for a while now.

Really enjoyed that. Never saw that guy break down film before. Good stuff.

Our OL didn’t do nearly as bad as I had thought.

Better execution by our QB would have made some of those bad plays good plays.

No. Did Echols have a dominant game, specifically in the first half? Absolutely. But we ran for over 170yds and moved the ball pretty efficiently in the second half. We didn't lose the game in the trenches.

I guess but if you switch QB’s LSU wins by at least 2 scores. Then there would be all sorts of stupid threads talking about how we dominated the trenches.

Thank goodness we won’t play a D line as good as Ole

Are we sure about that?

Louisville’s OL must be full of NFL players

To be fair, Louisville played them at a neutral field and not in a home stadium frenzied about the return of their prodigal son.

Here's the deal.

They played like a veteran playoff team with its offense intact.

We played like a team that had 45 new players, a completely new offense but for three starters, and a brand new coaching staff on offense. It takes a few games for all that to gel together and we played like it . QB errors aside.

I think Flynn and Hester wouldn’t disagree entirely, but a lot of this is on Levitt. Go to 10 min and 15 minute mark. Massive mistakes. Love the film breakdown from our own.

It's foolish to say the OL is the only issue. But it is an issue that builds upon other problems. You'll hear in the review when talking about the QB that he needs to "slow down". While true, IMO a significant part of the reason he is speeding up is that he doesn't trust his OL, particularly the interior, to hold up. Nothing speeds a QB up more than pressure up the middle. And once he is sped up he starts making mistakes, even when the OL does do a good job.

Yea but there are ample opportunities to throw in several clips. His footwork is off. He doesn’t step up in the pocket when he has options to.

Personally, I think he lacks anticipation and is just reactive.
