I got no hate for him. I wouldn't put any QB in the draft over him except Mendoza.

He was hurt this year AND played in the dumbest offense on earth.

Those here blaming Nuss for the shitshow offense this season are complete morons. They are also pretty shitty people.

Honestly he will most most likely get drafted on his potential prob in the late rounds or get picked up as a free agent somewhere but will be cut shortly thereafter if he plays like he did last year.

He has awful mechanics, terrible pocket awareness, and throws off his back foot too often.

However, if the right guy coaches him up anything is possible

He'll make a lot of great "pro throws". But then he will follow it up with bad mechanics and poor decision making. Mostly a result of trying to be the "hero" rather than just making the right play. Those mechanics and dumb decision making never got better in 5 years of college...across...multiple coaching staffs. The same dumb spin move away from the LOS he would make, with limited success as a true freshman, was the same dumb move he was trying to make as a 5th year senior. Given the multiple OCs he had at LSU and the fact his dad is an NFL QB coach, you can't think he's being taught to make those plays. So that begs the question? Is he uncoachable? Meaning no matter what you teach him he's going to discard it all and try to play hero ball in the game.

Best case scenario he is Baker Mayfield 2.0.

Nuss needs to go to a QB friendly staff and buy in.

The fact he never fixed his footwork in 5 years is just crazy to me

There is zero question on whether he gets drafted or not

He looked like an up and coming stud in 2024 then had to deal with the softest OLine in LSU history, the worst play caller on offense since Cam, absolutely no run game, and a bunch of 5’7 WR’s with bad cases of the dropsies. Not sure how you can make any evaluation of him based off his 2025 performance. You obviously either just have a vendetta against Nuss or don’t know football.

NFC West is a division that Nuss would be a good fit for nearly all of the teams.

I think the Shanahan offense would be too complicated for him. He hasn't shown good aptitude or the proper anticipation/accuracy.

He showed in 2024 what he could do. I think he could be a 2nd rounder. This year wasnt indicative of his ability. Last season was and that was his first year starting. This season, no run game, no pass protection, and terrible play calling and planning for the lack of protection.
Not too mention, I don't think he was ever really healthy at any point.

Lol

Please give me one example of something Nuss did in 2025 that indicated he was NFL caliber.

You won’t because you can’t, and so you’ll instead just resort to calling me names like dumb and ignorant.

Somebody will draft Nuss but he's probably a 3rd rounder.

So Nuss was injured. The team was so bad that:
Our head coach got fired
Our OC got fired
Our OL coach got fired
our Oline is almost completely replaced.
Name any other players on offense that will get drafted.

The point? We don’t really know which Nuss is the real one. 2024 or 2025.

He’s got the arm talent, and he’s got the brains as his dads a coach.. if he does well at the combine and pro day then he could be a 2nd or 3rd rounder if someone falls in love with him.

His dad being a coach in the NFL will score him some better looks.

I’ll be shocked if he’s picked before round 5. 5-7-UDFA is where I see him.

Chambliss will be at OM

And he’s an idiot for even considering that. If anything, Nuss should be the cautionary tale that convinces him to move on right now with how weak this draft class is. Coming back for a rebuilt OL and WR room off a great run is a recipe to take a step back and let your draft grade slip.

Honestly, as mad as he made me last year, I'd be shocked if he drops past the 4th.

He's got plenty of film on him showing 1st rd physical talent, which barring a permanent injury he will retain. As multiple people pointed out, LSU's offense last year was an absolute shitshow. He had no targets. Green dropped passes when he was healthy, as did the WRs. He had no line, and no running game to take the pressure off. And he clearly was not healthy, his throws looked way different than previous years.
It would be interesting to see what Daddy Nuss says; he's got an interest to help his son, and he's got a career interest to not help other NFL teams besides the Saints.

In an ideal world he would have had a good year last season, but then he's likely a top 5 pick in the draft. Someone will take a flyer on him based on what he could be, not what he was last year.
