I have been the unfortunate to have to jump out of the way of the JBE motorcade more than once.
It just always irritated me when he would go flying by all the traffic and cause such a mess, when he could have stayed at the Mansion and save the taxpayers a ton of money not having 4 SUVs and 4 motorcycles working to protect his sorry carcass.

Yes. The governor goes to football games.
I’ve got news for news for you, the governor’s security detail gets paid regardless if he goes to the game or stays at the mansion, so the taxpayers pay the same amount.

You must mean the latter Edwards going in his limo. The governor Edwards I remember went to LSU football games in the 1970s in his helicopter.

Going by motorcade is so boring. Governor McKeithen use to go by helicopter and landed on the baseball field.

As much silly things as Landry has done are all made up for by the fact that without him we don’t have the Lane train and we don’t have Our General back.

Yes. And no matter who the governor is, he has a knack of arriving just when the largest crush of fans are trying to get in the stadium so he can inconvenience the maximum number of fans/voters by having his security block off the road so he can drive right up to the entrance and doesn’t have to walk amongst the people he governs.
Democrat or Republican governor, he will find a way to block my entrance into the stadium long enough to irritate me.

Yeah, I'm not sure if that's 100% accurate......but he will sure tell you it is.

EWE during his first term would have a pre-game get together at the mansion. Everyone going to the game would get in line for police escort to stadium. The line of cars would pull up in front of stadium off south stadium drive and leave keys in your car. During the game the state police would turn line of cars around to face south stadium drive for police escort back to mansion after the game. Guaranteed to impress your date.
