I grew up in Jeanerette next door. Franklin had some monster good players. I remember seeing #62 wrecking offensive lines on TV in the 1980s. Prayers to all his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
LSU's problem with containing running quarterbacks goes back well before coach Baker. Historically, we have not done well against mobile QBs going back well into the 1960s. Ole Miss had a QB named Archie Manning. In 1968 and 1969, we finally beat Bear Bryant and Alabama, but were beaten by Manning because we could not contain him. Alabama ran an option offense in the 1970s that we could not contain. John Bond at Mississippi State in the 1980s killed us every year. The only time in recent history that I can recall is John Chavis' defense against Manzel at Texas A&M that was successful.
LSU vs Auburn 1969. George Bevan and Mike Anderson were huge in that game, A blocked field goal and a blocked extra point led to a 21-20 Tiger victory on national TV.
You must mean the latter Edwards going in his limo. The governor Edwards I remember went to LSU football games in the 1970s in his helicopter.
I lived there for 14 years. You pretty much nailed it!

I saw that as well. It appeared one month ago. I couldn't track down the source, but it was a long article.

Prayers for #37, one of the last two-way players in college football.

He is an adjunct professor at UT.
It was on ESPN broadcast last night.
I know who you're talking about, but you might want to include a link for some context.
Hockey has proven it can be successful in the south. Just look at the Florida teams in the NHL. Whether it can be successful at the college level may be debatable. I can tell you as a fan of the Colorado Avalanche, it is an exciting sport. I attended the ECHL finals in Lafayette on April 5, 1996 between the Louisiana Ice Gators and the Jacksonville Lizard Kings and the place was packed. The Cajundome was rocking and everyone had a great time, although the Ice Gators lost.
Ice hockey is fast and exciting, with nonstop action.

Interesting to see a viewpoint outside the LSU fanbase

Kelly Sealed His Fate

Is the Pope American?

Yep; Hank needs to grow a spine.
How does Boone still have a job? His only claim to fame is that he is Bucky Dent II.

What ever happened to Bonstonker?

I wish I knew. His videos were inspirational and very well done. If he's still with us, I hope he will resurrect his craft and share it with us again. :dude:
Absolutely agree. Bonstonker is the best.
