Either you’re being obtuse or missing the point. All he’s saying is that over Augie’s last 5 years as coach at Texas a coach that is 30 years younger might have done better there given his record at a school with fewer resources. You can disagree but even legendary coaches fall off as they get old.

Wrong. He’s saying Schloss would have won multiple titles at Texas. That’s like me saying Miles would have won multiple titles had he gone to Bama.

It’s just his way of trashing Johnson and LSU, which he does every single time they lose a game.

Woodward did not interview or even call Schlossnagle

y'all rag on Miles for alleged inappropriate relations with coeds, that's Schlossnagle's specialty, he had numerous warnings at TCU to cease and desist but basically told them to frick off, TCU didn't try to keep him from leaving and a friend of mine who is a fairly big TCU booster said it's likely he would have been fired if he stayed on

The only thing that prevented Miles from winning multiple titles at LSU was Saban at Bama or for that matter OK St not blowing at game against Iowa St.

Schloss started at TCU in 2004, he was 34 a with 2 years HC experience at UNLV, no way would Texas have hired him if they had an opening at that time.
Anyone looking at his record at TCU and extrapolating that he would have won “multiple” titles at Texas (aside from 20/20 hindsight) just assumes he’s the same coach from day 1. As if no one gets better and learns how to do the job well over time. There’s a reason big jobs typically want someone with experience. That said based on what he did at TCU and A&M it would not surprise me if he does go on to win a title at Texas. Time will tell.

Whatever some people like to troll I guess. Someone pointed out in page 1 if LSU had hired Schloss when PM left he probably leaves last year for Texas like he didn’t A&M. Johnson does have a title there’s no guarantee Schloss would have won it here in 2023, it would have been a different team.

This is completely vile and ridiculous bulllsh*t and outright slander.
Not a word is true. "Inappropriate relations"? "Numerous warnings"?
That is patently false.
I have worked with TCU people for 40 years. My next door neighbor has been a part of TCU's athletic department for nearly as long. I have had occasion to talk personally to Schlossnagle numerous times. I met his ex-wife and their two beautiful children.
The idea that TCU was trying to fire him is farcical. Complete bullsh*t.
Don't you think Texas A&M would have nixed hiring him if even a shred of that was true?

I hope Schlossnagle's lawyers read this crap. The sh*t that passes as comments on this board is amazing.

Yes? Literally all A&m cares about is beating Texas. They don't care how they get there. Yet, they still can't do it.

lol What are Schloss's lawyers going to do with message board posts?

I mean, those that do have a pretty good reason for feeling that way.
I couldn't care less about him. I have much bigger fish to fry than to worry about a baseball coach in Texas - especially one who hasn't won anything yet.

The optics of what he did were horrible, even though eaTme was once again on the receiving end.

I get that only he is responsible for his own future/career, but he could've done that with a LOT more class.

Call us when schloss has a national championship. Jay has one in case you forgot.

Also schloss is a total a-hole. The way he handled the A&M departure was a true reflection of his character. He’s not a good man who you want representing your university. Jay definitely is the opposite.

Lol, even if Schloss really wanted to take legal action against online slander I doubt his lawyers would start with Tigerdroppings.

Well to be fair how many times has coach Schloss been to Omaha finals as a head coach? COACH Jay Johnson has been there twice won it once vs florida and lost one vs coastal Carolina when was coach at Arizona. Ur coach Schlossy does seem to make good hires on pitching and seems to coach good defense tho.

Don’t forget Texas has way more $$$ for players (NiL) and anything else the athletes (young kids) want.

People on here hate Schloss but he’s a damn good coach. If he had coached all of those years at Texas instead of TCU, he’d have multiple natty’s imo. Btw this isn’t a knock on Jay as I’m very happy he’s our coach
people hate the names because they coach in the SEC which is loaded with good coaches but can’t say they’re not top tier

If I could have any coach in D1 my top 3 is Jay, Vitello or Schloss. What has he won????? TCU, TCU was in Omaha all the time under Schloss. Mike Martin coached 40+ years and never won a title either.

Outside of Jay and Vitello, he’d be my #1 pick but I know the workhorse Jay is so glad we have him. The coach O comparisons are always funny considering how O started coasting after he won a title

He also built the roster that had A&M preseason #1

LSU was preseason #1 in 2019 and was arse. Building a preseason #1 roster just means you fooled that fat frick Kendall Rogers into thinking you’re good.

Why was this thread started in the middle of a game that LSU was losing, as opposed to not during a game or during a game LSU was winning? Weird

Schloss
Vitello
Jay
Van Horn

I'd take any of them at LSU.

For some posters on here, losing 1 game of a SEC weekend series is grounds for dismissal
