So stupid to allow local judges to just allow this. What a joke.
That Ole Miss Alumnus judge gave Trinidad another year to play because he had a "Sinus Infection." (Clogged Up Nose)

I'm sure there are a lot of LSU Alumnus judges in EBR (Or elsewhere in the Hole) that can and will process all incoming LSU athletes to be eligible.

Well since there are no rules at all.

I am calling for Joe Burrow or Jayden Daniels to leave the NFL.........and come back to QB LSU.

I mean what would be more attractive for them........getting killed with NO OL or come back and play for Kiffin??

Blow it all up................no rules at all.

I have never liked the NCAA and how it operates but this was a death sentence. They officially have zero power over the players. To have a court rule a player eligible who gambled is just mind boggling.

I guess a “minor league” system with a collective bargaining agreement is where this is all trending. Not sure what that looks like but the purity of College sports seems doomed.

Yep.

It's to the point I wish it would go back to Student athletes only and if these gold diggers want money coming out of high school, have the NFL make a Pre-NFL league or something like that with contracts.

All these guys are doing is learning to demand money and more money. The 95 percent who don't make the NFL better have a good interest rate on their savings because those 95 percent don't go to class, don't learn anything of value, and will be lucky to get a job as a janitor somewhere when their "college' football career is over.

ok, but who's going to make the NFL do that, if they don't want to?

NCAA is going to fold. Posted this a few times on here over the past few years. The NCAA will not be the governing body of college sports by 2030.

How is this going to affect the gambling on Sports?
If players can't be punished, what are the controls.

Pete Rose STILL isn’t in the HOF. He has been banned from baseball since 1989… due to gambling….
Does that constitute irreparable damages?

But Brendan fricking Sorsby, can still play college football?
WHAT????

Get the frick out of here

I just genuinely can't understand the ruling. Kid knows the rules going in and knowingly breaks the rules while aware of the penalty of the breaking those rules.

But for some reason those rules and penalties don't apply?

It doesn't make any sense.

If you're not banned from playing ball by betting on games then there's no rules. You set the rules now. This is absolutely ridiculous.

There was an inequity that the NCAA and schools happily let exist and grow for decades

frick. All. That.

The rules were in place for a reason - college kids don’t need that much money so young. This is awful for most of them in the long run - a paternalistic attitude was necessary.

I will always hope Ed O’Bannon’s dick falls off for selfishly depriving us of NCAA 15-19 before sports games went to shite anyway.
