All of LSU's players should be eligible by an EBR judge if the NCAA rules any ineligible.
Lubbock judges and EBR judges couldn’t be more different…

Ahhh I see what you mean. So say he plays in the interim but loses the court case. Would he be retroactively stripped of eligiblity?

Don't get your hopes up, the appeals court currently has 4 Tech alumns

This is really ridiculous. I say all their opponents need to take a stand against the NCAA and just forfeit games against them and don't let their team play. This is the dumbest thing of all time. Don't worry about our basketball team. Just play who you want to play. What are they gonna do? All we have to do is get a judge to say they are trying to take away our participation trophy by making us forfeit wins because of "ineligible" players. In fact, just to prove a point, then we need to get a local judge to give us back any vacated wins the NCAA has tried to remove from the past saying they are just trying to smear our good name.

What is really concering is that now that these "Student" athletes have money, what is keeping them from betting and throwing games for more money?
I'm starting to hate this - what was his name Ed O'Bannan? The trash that started this and the NCAA for not seeing this would be a problem, not to mention these judges, who when they put on their black gown think they have more wisdom than God.

USC played with an ineligible player vs LSU, won the game, and nothing happened. The NCAA has been a sacklass pile of shite for years. They can rot in hell with the Birmingham Alabama SEC offices. We ready to talk about that yet? How having your league headquarters in only one state is an abomination?

NCAA is a building filled with a bunch of DEI hires just hanging out collecting check.

Even worse than this injunction crap is the fact that you can do something wrong and get away with it by getting some quack do diagnose you with a "disorder".

frick Jay Bilas. People like him have ruined college sports.

It’s been dead for a few years. This was obviously expected if you’ve been paying attention.

How long do you think a judge in LUBBOCK to come to this ruling? Lol

But Monday's ruling by district judge Ken Curry in Lubbock County, Texas, restores Sorsby's eligibility, saying that the NCAA cannot prevent him from "practicing, playing or otherwise participating on Texas Tech's football team for the 2026 season."
Fine. Then the NCAA should get some balls and say then Texas Tech cannot play in the NCAA this season.
Sorsby and TTU can go play in NAIA or some other independent semi-pro football league for 2026.

You bet on your own team, you should be ineligible forever regardless of sport or level.
That needs to be a hard line you cannot cross.

Can a team file an injunction to get into the playoffs if the NCAA denies them entry into the playoffs?
This ruling invalidates ANY authority the NCAA has. I said it in another thread, but like with everything, this will soon filter down to high school sports. GPA requirements, kids cut for not being good enough back on the team.
There's no logical end

This ruling is so ridiculous. If you are not allowed to enforce the integrity of your game then what can you do?
Posted on 6/8/26 at 10:37 am to r0cky1
Knowing EBR judges, LSU will probably get a judge who will let a 17 year old out of juvenile detention with a 4 page wrap sheet, but won't budge on letting a 23 year old go to college to play basketball lol

The NCAA has been castrated. The courts rule college sports.
