I have coached a long time. You want to leave the dugout after you have been warned and challenge the umpire you leave it in their hands. You have no room to complain. He was given a chance to shut up after the warning and he ramped it up. I don't care what happened after the ejection, but now he's mocking the umpire's athelticism. Comepletely unprofesional.
His postgame comments made the ump look completely justified in the ejection. Jay says TEAM over ME, and this dude let his emotions get him ejected in the first inning of a championship elimination game..

maybe he could just sit the frick down and now argue balls and strikes after he was warned.

he made himself look worse in the post game

Of all the things he could have said postgame, he came out and showed exaclty why his ejection was warranted as he acted untouchable as a head coach and he even mocked an umpire's athleticsm.
I think his post game comments get him in more trouble with the NCAA.

Take out the hate because you’re an LSU fan and watch exactly what happened and it was a very bad ejection.
I was an ump for 20+ years.
A. He knew he was warned.
B. He was pointed to go back the dugout TWICE. Watch the motion. The ump even turned around and he still came out.
C. He is immature and cost his team

Let’s remember what the broadcast said. All they questioned was if was warranted on this stage.
Meaning, they agreed with what happened. Just wondered if given the stakes, should you be more lenient.
That shows it was the correct judgement by the book. You can argue if the ump could have acted differently that what the rules say given the stage.
What you can’t argue is if the coach in the other dugout would have done the same. Bc there is no way in hell

The point is Jay would never do that. He is always calm cool and collected and the players absorb that.

There was no reason for him to be so much on the ump in the first. Out of control.

Agree.
It was the first inning. He did not handle losing well at all. He seems like a loose cannon.
It's one thing if he did that later in the game or at least while trailing. He did that after they stole 2nd.

This. I don’t recall bad calls in the first inning. No reason to go ballistic.

I saw a call in an earlier AB that upset him and it was somewhat questionable, but not egregious. It did not warrant being that upset over as it was borderline.

He was clearly out of control and thought that because it was early, he would set the tone.
Warned. Didn’t back down. He was correctly ejected.
Puzzling to me why the other coach injected himself into a no win situation.
To be honest, I almost expected the entire bench to follow him. It was that crazy.

I don’t think he was out of control. He was asked his perspective on the ejection and he voiced his experience. He credited LSU and our coach. Said his team had a great year and he was sorry it’s over.

Rules are rules and he should have known better and not put himself in that position.
He is what he is and now everyone knows.. :-)
