re: CBS & USA Today Articles - "not good things (are coming to LSU)"Posted by GeorgeWest on 6/6/20 at 5:16 pm to josh336
None of us knows what the NCAA has or does not have on LSUMBB. It is all speculation at this point.
None of us has heard the entire convo between Dawkins and WW. The whole conversation could be in jest as the comment about Rookie Minimum clearly was.
The point is that none of us actually knows what the NCAA has or how the NCAA interprets what "evidence" it might have.

You are correct. However, reportedly the fbi taped hundreds if not thousands of hours of Dawkins conversations with college coaches. I think reasonable people would conclude that any HBO movies, or news outlets would present the most damaging conversations in their reporting. I bet 95% of the taped calls were run of the mill talks. Common sense dictates that we heard the worst.

This is a pretty small town... if there was something else, we would have heard something. In fact we haven’t even heard of the NCAA being in town at all

He'll be gone before all this is over and I won't shed a tear

Wade is the best coach in the college game under 50, and it's not really close. By the time he hits 50 he will be the best. I've seen enough of his work to know what we have in him. If you like LSU basketball (doubtful because you want him gone), you are an idiot if you want Wade to leave. If he stays here 15-20 years we will be an elite program. If he leaves, highly doubtful.

Well we just took our detention time off for this season. We are good to go for next season. That'll fix it.

And that LSU's coach was on a wiretap talking about a "strong-arse offer" made in violation of NCAA rules."
Again, what in those exact words constitutes an NCAA violation? The media is going to continue to chirp as this is an indictment of something yet there has been no evidence of any strong arse offer.
You can't go to jail for murder if you just are caught on tape saying you were going to kill someone

So he was wrong. Because he said LSU had been served a notice. His hard-on for LSU is second only to yours.

Yes, we have. However, this is in response to all those who think Dickie V is wrong. I don't know if he is right or wrong. But, there seems to be more and more information coming out that a "letter" is forthcoming from the NCAA.
He's wrong for throwing allegations at certain schools and just brushing others off as rumor.

The FBI can’t stop:
The parkland shooter
The Boston bombers
The Vegas shooter
The Miami nightclub shooter
9/11
...yet they have time to frick around with college sports. What a complete joke.

I mean he's begging for Pitino to get a job because Rick told him he's innocent. I honestly don't think even he can really believe a control freak like Pitino knew nothing of what recruits on campus for official visits were doing.
And the coach he's pimping for has also done things like clearing a restaurant back room to screw a woman on a dining table for 20 seconds. Now he's a married man and supposed leader of young men.
When he says "how can anyone hearing that tape (of WW) defend it?" Well how can you Dick knowing all these truths of Pitino beg for him to have a job coaching again? That's the hypocrisy we're talking about and it doesn't stop with Pitino. I could go on about Roy, Pearl, Cal, the Kansas coach and make similar valid analogies.

None of this is new here, just sayin’...
”He's an extraordinary judge of people and he can be an extremely persuasive salesman," Emmert said of Woodward in a 2016 Dallas Morning News profile. "Coaches, especially high-profile coaches, you need to understand who they are ... and what they really need and what their fit is with your culture and context."
The report said that when Emmert took over as LSU chancellor in 1999 he wanted to improve the relations with the state government and asked for advice on whom to hire.
"I met with state legislators on both sides of the aisle," Emmert said. "Sooner or later, they'd say, 'The guy that you really want talk to is Scott Woodward.'"
Woodward worked under Emmert, now the head of the NCAA, during his time at LSU. Emmert took Woodward under his wing once the former political lobbyist switched fields and began his career in administration.
In 2004, Woodward followed Emmert across the country to Washington and eventually took over as the Huskies’ athletics director.
Not a lot of people know Scott's step-son and Mark's daughter are married.

No, they are using material that was actually introduced at trial.
Most of these schools had coaches that plead guilty to a crime, thus admitting these things in federal court.

Is there any doubt Vitale is just trying to drive recruits away from LSU and to his boys at the blue bloods? No other explanation for his continuous attacks at LSU
I bet anything Cal is behind that
