Miles is like a newly elected politician, he no longer works for the fans/public. He just has to tolerate us until the contract/term is up.

Yes. He said 'I said we were passing well because IF we completed more...picked up more yards...we'd have been efficient'

Jesus, he sounds like he's effectively given up and is just waiting for the axe to fall. Of course thinking about it I really don't know how you explain that debacle Saturday.

I just imagine Miles saying something like:

"Well ... I could get a good look at our passing efficiency by sticking my head up a butcher's arse, but I'd rather just take Coach Peveto's word for it."

Look at it this way: if we had won the game, we'd be 1-0.

Yeah, but if he was 7 for 8 it would have made a huge difference in the first half.

Total rejection of any responsibility or empathy or connection with reality. Remember what happened when Marie Antoinette was told the people had no bread? She supposedly said...

"Then let them eat cake."
Or so the story goes...

To be fair we WERE averaging 12.67 yards per completion...

What do you want him to do? Apologize? Offer to refund everyone's money?

That game was indefensible, but do people really expect Miles, or any coach in a similar situation to come out and say, "Sorry guys. I know you don't feel like you got what you paid for, that's my bad."

Pretty sure he also mentioned how much better things would have been if some of those runs went for touchdowns. At that point I think it was pointless to ask him about special teams.

He doesn't have to be specific, but giving us a hint that he may possibly know what the problem is would be nice.

Papa Miles: "Les, you made an 'F' on your math test."

Little Les: "Yes, Dad, but if I would have answered 5 more right, it would have been a
'B' and that's pretty good!"

Well, I guess we are always efficient, under that logic

That's a fair statement. And had he caught those balls we would have been moving the ball and had more opportunities for the offense.

And if we would have kicked the last field goal, we would have won.
