Its not like China recently started stealing trade secrets and trying to influence politics in this country.

Why wouldn't they push Climate Change as a way to handicap USA Business.

Where have you seen this? In a spring game where blitzes aren’t allowed? Up 50 in the 4th quarter vs Bowling Green? On high school highlights from 4 years ago?

Don't you believe that coaches know if a QB can make pre snap reads of the defence before they play the first game?
I remember when Hodson was a Red Shirt freshman. We had no experienced QB. When Arnsparger was asked about the QB position, he responed, "We are not worried about QB we have a QB. The first game was vs a ranked TA&M. Hodson dominated that game.
I suspect that was the big factor that made Burrow so much in demand by this staff. They have seen the guys in practice and know their weakness. They are not ready.

Probably Les Miles. He seemed to have the scheme that you guys love.

Didn't Brennan, Nacisse, and McMillan have statistics, in the Spring Game, similar to the two Ohio State Quarterbacks that were given the starting job.

If we match Miles record in his second year, I assume that qualifies "O" to get a pay raise equal to Miles and an automatic extension after each season? After all Miles didn't leave him a JR or Flynn quality QB.

I see no reason not to be optimistic about the season. Like Grandad, I'm on the train.

The Miles black cloud of QB negativism is gone.
I'm looking for Burrow to have a great season, turn Pro, leaving the baton to Brennan and Narcisse.
All this crap about transfers is just more black cloud mentality.
I doubt many freshmen QBs believe they are going to step on campus and lead the team. They have to earn it and they know it.

Good for Narcisse. It indicates he is in Church or in contact with those who attend/study the Bible.

Proverbs is a great lesson for all.

I agree that we bring anyone who might help LSU. My issue is with the people acting like he is some All-American with titles under his belt.

He's a career backup who will have to come in and learn a whole new system in two months.

Can he do that AND beat three guys with a 6-month headstart? Possible, but not likely.

Take him, yes, but don't expect him to come in and set the world on fire.

Who? is acting like he is an All America?

Career backup. Lee, JJ, Flynn, Etling, Mett, Who in that group started as a freshman and who was a career backup?

Did the freshman starters make and NFL Roster? Please explain your attack on career backups.

None of our young QBs have started agame but so we don't know who will earn the start. We do know that we don't have an experienced QB. One more quality prospect on the roster will at least give us a better chance at success.
How do you feel about it?

For the last few months the Rant has been in a meltdown because of the lack of depth at QB and CB. He signs a CB transfer and hopefully a QB and the melt continues.
I hope he comes and is good enough to play if one of the others are injured.

If he develops into a quality QB, it will be the first at LSU since Jimbo left.
Etling wasn't good enough to start when playing for Miles. Now he is in the NFL. Hope, hope, hope

If you were the HC, would you be recruiting him?
quote:

Wasn't he in charge of recruitment under the last regime?

That has to be the dumbest argument ever put forth on the RANT.

Do you really believe the Recruiting Co-ordinator makes the decision on which players are recruited and signed?
Did you ever listen to a real coach/communicator explain recruiting.
Saban said, "when a coach comes to me about a recruit, I ask hem where is he going to play. Do you have an opening for him?"

Miles said, when asked about recruiting, I think the fish are biting.
We are going to treat Miami like we treated Louisville a couple years ago.
I remember the HS Coach of Allen Faneca, when we were recruiting Faneca.
He said, "Allen Faneca is the guy who defeats the Defensive Lineman, knocks the linebacker on his butt, then starts chasing those skinny Defensive backs down the field.

The Coach spoke the truth.

LSU fans are tough, accustomed to failure.
Brady took a shite show and made a final four. We sent him packing the next year. Brought in a couple of real coaches, J then JJ.
Henry had us on top in Track. Get out! So he goes to A&M.

Zero can't win enougH to satisfy you MISERABLES. He knows it but he will just collect a check and retire a winner.

Che Grevara or Idi Amin would be my suggestion.
Lets go all the way.

Every sports talk station in the SEC says no program would've hired Ed Orgeron and Steve Ensminger. Fact.

Almost everyone of those experts, if they were in a position to be heard at that time, were predicting that Saban would be unsuccessful when he came to LSU. "Yankees can't win and recruit in the South".
If LSU were to beat Bama and Georgia next season, they would all get amnesia about their predictions. Of course if we beat Bama forty points, Feinbaum will still be cheering for Bama.

How of those brainless blowhards predicted LSU basketball would finish at the bottom of the conference this past season.

re: QB competition

Posted by roygu on 3/24/18 at 12:33 pm to
I want all three to be the best they can be. If one gets hurt, the backup needs to be ready. Its disgusting to hear so-called fans making uninformed comments as if they wish one are all three to fail. This or the sole purpose of being correct in their prediction that "O" is a loser.
We haven't had a complete quarterback since Flynn who could make plays in crunch time to help us win. We have had game managers and game losers and anyone who calls themselves a fan should be wishing one are all QBs will be able to make positive plays and not just fill a position.

re: QB competition

No it isn't. If I were a beting man I would bet that O will be more successful at developing QBs than Miles. Give me a link to a quote by any of the three that attribute Miles coaching as a reason for their success.
Flynn is on record in giving Jimbo the credit for his knowledge of skills required to be a successful QB.
Are you a veteran? Was Reid marching for improving VA benefits.

re: Waters worth price of admission...

Posted by roygu on 3/22/18 at 8:46 am to
You can't really compare one generation to the next. Chris was the most explosive offensively but IMO he had better talent around him and the SEC was much weaker in those days. How many conference teams made the playoff during Chris' tenure. CJ made many unbelievable plays during his day but none were any more spectacular than Waters shot vs Texas A&M. Waters made a couple more unbelievable shots that either won the game took into overtime with a chance to win.
Lets see if Waters, with similar talent next year, as Chris had his Sophomore year, can take us further.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and predict that post scrimmage quotes will be along the lines of “offense got the better of the defense this time”.

Great thought!
The bitchers, whiners, and complainers can get their stories written prior to the scrimmage. They can probably cut and paste one of their previous tirades and maybe switch a couple of words to make it applicable.

re: Transfer QB?

According to Nick Saban, the team knows who should be the starters and who should be spectators.
I trust Nick. By the time spring practice is over, the team will know who is the starting QB. I expect, due to better coaching, who ever wins the starting job, we will be in good hands.

Not Hearsay, listen to the player.

I thought he was bitter about his firing. Dumb question I know...

Brady has been an LSU fan all his life. He made the statement when he was let go that "I'm going from head coach to LSU's biggest fan".
If E Reid would give us his plan for equality for all then I would take him seriously. With his money why doesn't he run for office in say, Jackson Mississippi, then show us how its done. Once he establishes a proven plan, we can all jump aboard the train and live happily ever after.
He sounds a if he recognizes Jessie and Al are getting old and there is an opening for a new leader for folks who are not willing to compete in society.

My nursing friend was just telling me about a drug addict who came to the emergency room.
When the Dr refused to give him more pain medication, ge got angry and was chasing the DR. around the ER room. The addict left and faked an injury, called the rescue squad and came back on a stretcher.
