Texas and Florida are bigger players than Bama.

Texas appears to be a big player, but I doubt he would beat out Casey Thompson or Hudson Card. Both of those guys - even though they, too, need more experience - process better than TJ and both can run.

Some of you are really underestimating the value of starting 5 SEC games. Yeah he wouldn’t start over Bryce Young but he’d be second string for sure and would see the field there.

Same with Auburn.

TJ isn't Joe Burrow. 99% of QB's aren't Joe Burrow.

But Joe being 3 years at OSU behind some great QB's kind of proves the point.

2nd string isn’t of any interest to his crazy parents. They obviously think he could push Tom Brady in Tampa.

I think he would be smart to go to ULL and play under Billy Napier or even LA Tech or SMU but I think he and his family think he’s deserving to be a power 5 starter next season and that just isn’t the case. If he stayed in the SEC then the best spot IMO would be Arkansas.

Which is foolish. BYU and NDSU produced the #2 and #3 picks in the draft at QB this year. He picks the wrong P5 school and he'll find himself back in the portal this time next year.

It seems like there is a good bit of smoke for him going to Auburn. I've seen a few articles from Auburn media talking about the possibility.

The only thing left for him to do is play the race card and I'm sure that's coming

He said his most important quality in picking a new school is the ability to start this year

Someone close to this kid needs to talk some sense into him. He has 5 years of eligibility left to play 4. There is absolutely no reason to find a school where he can start right away. Find a good offensive coordinator with a solid offensive roster that has a junior or senior starting QB and go there. Be patient for a year or two, learn your new offense, and make sure you're in a good position to succeed once your time comes.

He has a decent chance to start at Auburn. Bo has accuracy issues. Frankly , his mobility is his only asset. Harsin wants to throw shorter routes that are based upon reads and accuracy. This fits TJ much better than Bo.

If Alabama’s O Line plays at the same level as it has the last 3 years, TJ would look like an All Pro in that offense. Very similar to Mac —deep drop, accurate downfield passer, gets the ball quick on deep digs , posts and crossing routes. Would be dangerous. I don’t think he ends up there, but his style is a better fit than Bryce Young’s for that offense. Their is a reason Mac looked better than Tua in that offense.

I would think of those three schools, that Houston should be Finley’s best bet for this coming season.

You mean the man who spent 3 years with Urban Meyer and future NFL QB's at Ohio State?

That's how you develop.

TJ was given the chance to start last year.He looked
great against SC then he screwed the pooch at AU.
after Max got a start I recall TJ`s mom say that LSU
doesn`t appreciate Black QB`s os something like that.
She didnt mention that he lost the AU game by himself
and couldnt do anything against Bama.If you noticed the
spring game he continiued to make the same mistakes he
made as a starter last season and was playing a vanilla
D in april.

I’m going to go a different direction than the rest of you and hope that Bama is interested because Bryce Young isn’t up to par.

We don’t know what Bama’s offense will look like next year because Sark is now the coach at Texas. TJ couldn’t hold Mac Jones’ jockstrap either. Mac was accurate, tough and most importantly could process quickly. TJ has none of those traits, just big arm that has accuracy issues. The short passing game was where he struggled the most because those were timing passes that had to be on the money. TJ needs an offense with a strong running game and a strong OL that he can sit in the pocket and throw deep down the field.
