Made it seem like his top options are Alabama, Auburn and Houston right now. The most interesting part to me was TJ was hinting at some drama between him and Max last year that he didn’t want to elaborate on. This lines up with how we saw TJ seem cold toward Max on the sideline after Max got his chance to start. He said his most important quality in picking a new school is the ability to start this year. I wish him nothing but the best but I hate to burst his bubble if he thinks he’s going to play at Alabama over Bryce Young.

Houston is the 4th most populous city in the US.

Let him go in peace: TJ wants to transfer and so be it, he made his choice.

Serious question, how can Alabama take another transfer?

Well as you noted, if he thinks he is going to go in an beat out Young, that tells you all you need to know about his attitude and sense of his talent. Alternatively, it could suggest he is getting that from his parents who at times have gotten on social media and made comments about TJ already it seems being a NFL HOF talent.

So I haven't read the article, but if he goes to Alabama he is not starting there. So what it really amounts to is

1) Auburn. But I don't think he will be promised the job. Box Nix is not great, very inconsistent, but he has 24 starts under his belt.

2) Houston where he likely can start day 1.

If you knew his dad then you would know that you are spot on with this statement. He is Completely delusional .

Texas and Florida are bigger players than Bama. That’s bad info.

He will never, ever see the field at Alabama.

Auburn apparently wants him to put competitive pressure on Nix because the freshman isn't close to ready.

I still think he ends up somewhere like Houston and he's namedropping big programs to make himself look more desirable. He isn't starting at an SEC school next season outside of Vanderbilt or maybe 1/2 others that have really bad QB situations.

If he wants to play right away Houston is by far the best bet of the schools listed. Including Texas and Florida in that.

Clayton Tune was not very good last year and hasnt been particularly good his 3 seasons there.

Exactly. I feel like he has just used Bama's name this whole time to try and raise his profile on the market since he knows everyone's ears will perk up and eyes open when Bama is mentioned.

lots of spinning going on with these statements. Zero chance he starts at Bama or Auburn this year.

I wish him great success wherever he goes, but the QB rooms at most big-time football schools are full.

He should go to a non-P5 school that needs a QB, start immediately, and try to light it up. Many other QBs have done the same.

But stop with this nonsense about playing in the SEC. Aside from the talent issue, there's far too much risk of sitting the bench. Go to a smaller school where you're virtually guaranteed to start.

I've never been so "who gives a frick" about a dude transferring as much as this dude.

If he goes to Bama and thinks he can compete with Bryce Young

If he wants to start this year. His options are very small in numbers and size of conference.

He had the ability to start last year with only another true Freshman as his competition.

He might ought to factor that into his options going forward.
