This is a loss from a talent evaluator, roster management position. He wasn’t a good ST coach, but it was good to have a seasoned coach, with his pedigree, handling recruiting. It’s still LSU, so we should be fine.

Am I the only one who thinks it's weird he didn't directly thank Kelly? Not that I care, but after hearing how close those two were.
He directly thanks Kelly and called him a mentor and friend.

Y'all noticed the '97 after his name on the John Carroll press release meme?
Mama called. He's goin' home for a while, get some years in that position, then he'll be called up to a big university or even the NFL. It's in his pedigree.
Best to Brian Polian.

While Polian strugged as an on-field coach, he does have a lot of talents and qualities, and honeslty, he's much better in an off the field role.
The fact that he was hired to be an AD, even at a D-3 school, shows that clearly he has some administrative capibilities.
If he wants to have a future in athletic department administraiton, this is a great deal for him and I wish him the best.
LSU will find the next up and coming person and get them.

With the new "push to lock down LA" we have been hearing about this year, wouldn't be surprised if recruiting coordinator doesnt have very strong LA tires. Probably promote Frank and maybe take on another LA recruiter.

Wonder if Brian Kelly will mention it in a few minutes at the luncheon in Houston?

He will say Polian was not aligned!

People are gonna be happy because the special teams disaster but this does seem to be a loss on the roster management side.
yeah i dont care what anyone says, that man took a depleted roster and made a 10 win team.. he deserves a ton of credit. it wasnt him dropping the ball on punt returns, it was the players. I thought he did a great job, the players cost him his job.
