I wasn’t sure because Orgeron doesn’t have the same responsibilities as normal coaches

This is an indictment on leadership. Leadership from the coaches, from the staff, from the players. Complete abs emcee of leadership.

Yes it does. Just like not being ready for Mississippi State last year.

Is that the same reason we didn't look crisp against McNeese too?

There’s a culture issue problem inside the program. They should have come out ready to take someone’s head off against UCLA AND against McNeese and did not either time

Why has your beloved head coach done nothing to help fix this problem?

Always somebody else’s fault.

Opt outs
Poor Culture
Players getting kicked off the team
Players transferring
Players ineligible
Lack of player motivation
Lack of player preparation
Poor coaching hires
Head coaches off the field antics
Poor talent evaluation
Poor player development
Poor on the field coaching and adjustments

Maybe one day you’ll open your eyes like the overwhelming majority has. You take your time.

after 5-5 season you would think the team would come out motivated for the first game...

The head coach talking shite to an opposing fan on his way way into the stadium is a pretty good indicator that the team wasn't very locked in.

I can just imagine Ed O does his opponent scouting based on what we say on this board. Give that poster a break.

It wasn’t a trap game
It ABSOLUTELY was, and it would have been even if we won.

You see "UCLA", and think "average to below Pac 12 team. Pac 12 hasn't even made the playoffs in awhile".

You DON'T think:
20 returning starters, in Chip Kelly's system. Already played a game, while we hadn't yet. On the road, with a "beat the SEC team" chip on their shoulder.

There's no way they weren't going to give us a fight, and have a lot of special little wrinkles in place.

We just aren’t that good
That's irrelevant to the trap game concept.

But yeh Tulane's prep for the game was to get blown out at half...make OU overconfident and comeback and make it close...sound competent gameplan

Tulane forced a pick on OU's second play, and scored on their first two possessions of the game. OU built their lead because Tulane fumbled away the ball 3 times in the 2nd quarter.

Seemed like their gameplan was working fine until they shot themselves in the foot. I'm not sure why you're so insistent that OU simply eased up.

C’mon man. You can’t compare a program the quality of LSU to one like Tulane. That’s apples to astronauts.
