“And we got it handed to us” said it’s a valuable lesson learned.

Fans played a part in that, too.

All the discussion here was an easy double digit win.

The fans play no part at all in game prep. It’s completely asinine to suggest that this is the case.

Put that on O. He’s got to coach better. Lol

Does this fall under the responsibility of the CEO?

Does this really need to be learned?

Does not interviewing one of the premier pieces in a football program (Def Coord position) really need to be learned (especially at this level of football)?

You don't look out to the sea of LSU tailgaters to see them with their recipe books out while they are cooking jambalaya.

I did not say that.

Read it again. Players can read and everyone on TD were already giving us a 17+ point win vs an overmatched opponent.

If they hear it enough, they begin to believe it themselves and overlook the opponent.

That's pretty inexcusable. I thought we would win, but UCLA was a team of mostly seniors and juniors that already had a game behind them. I knew they were going to give LSU a fight.

That's an indictment of your head coach.

Who is responsible for the teams preparation both physically and mentally?

That's a direct product of having a meathead coach.

It’s the responsibility of everyone involved with the program. Specifically, it’s a head coach’s responsibility to make sure the team is ready to play.

Just a classic trap game...

We're LSU, Pac 12 can't hang with SEC, etc etc.

Truth of the matter was, it was a road game against an experienced team (20 returning starters), with a marquee HC (Chip Kelly), who'd already played a game to work the kinks out.
LSU was opening the season cold, with new OC and DC (and our HC doesn't contribute, so there's no continuity), coming off a 5-5 season. We had zero reason to be expecting the game to be a cakewalk.

There’s a culture issue problem inside the program. They should have come out ready to take someone’s head off against UCLA AND against McNeese and did not either time
