re: Blake Baker really ran I-Formation on 3rd and long.
Posted by WHS on 10/12/26 at 4:37 pm to laneinMississippi
As soon I saw us in the formation I knew it was a 1st down for them. That play worked once’s and he even quit running it last year because it did t work.
It takes too long for the DL to get to the OL.

I love people compare CLKs records and talk about how bad they are but never stop to think about where he was. He was at FAU and Ole Miss who are historically bad. He built those programs to be historically better while he was there.
If you wan to go back to his few years at Tennessee and USC well that was so long ago that he isn’t the same coach.

The blue grass state

I find it ironic that Kentucky is the blue grass state and yet their flagship university has a turf field lol.
I checked the hour by hour and the rain is pretty much gone by kickoff!
Geaux tigers!!

Proud parent moment
Posted by WHS on 10/6/26 at 4:50 pm
So my 7 and 8 year old daughter and son (both adopted and are in the same class) just brought me pictures they made and colored in class today. My son’s picture was of Death Valley and Sam Leavitt throwing a TD to Green and my daughter’s was of the LSU players dunking the basketball on the sideline.
I honestly didn’t think they paid that much attention but I think they are starting to become die hard LSU fans. I guess I was about their age when I started really paying attention to LSU.
At what age did you really become an LSU fan?
Geaux Tigers!

I was at the Va Tech game and it was a good one!
Defending a mobile QB question
Posted by WHS on 9/22/26 at 1:41 pm
What we did did to Johnny Football and Lamar Jackson back in the day was a thing of beauty! My questions is this, would those same defensive game plans work today or has the game changed too much and it would be out dated?

Bring your own in a camelback and hide it in a jacket like a real man.

Yea the start of this season is much like 2011 and 2019! I 100% agree! :geauxtigers:
No matter if we win or lose tomorrow, next week will be hell on earth for 8&4 when they are welcomed back to Death Valley! :geauxtigers:
re: I Love Football

After coaching high school football for more than a decade I sure miss those Friday night lights and everything that goes with it!
As for LSU football, for me its the Saturday mornings that really get it going for me. Getting up, watching College Game Day (Esp if they are at our game), or watching the SEC channel, starting to get what ever I am cooking for the game ready, and cracking open a cold one. If its starting to get cool outside, then its heaven on earth!

I’ve just been mainlining Lane’s Clemson half time speech.
We need a hype video with his speech in the background!
That was much better than what SEC Shorts has been producing lately. And he is right, why cant Ole Miss decide on a shade of blue and what is up with the stupid bowties???

I feel like CLK may actually have a secret playbook and we will see it Saturday :geauxtigers:

We just need to realize that our coach is going to keep everyone on their toes including us fans and I love it! I will admit there is that little voice in the back of my head saying “is it true? Are they really not going to play?” But then I remember who our coach is.
Just for this year and then it will go back to business as usual but honestly you can say its always been our biggest rivalry. Arkansas and Texas 8&4 seemed forced even though the 8&4 game has been a decent rivalry over the past 5 years or so. Bama I think will start to mean much less now that Saban is gone and they are human again.

re: How would y'all feel about an LSU football uniform "Baseball edition?"
Posted by WHS on 9/15/26 at 12:36 pm to Nix to Twillie
I could see doing the logo on the purple helmet and that is it. It would look good with a white jersey and and white pants combo.
