Yes...

I thought the Coaching Changes board would've been fired up by now. I'm happy to be wrong.

Same. Although rankings depend on how all the other teams do as well.
Had losses to auburn, Bama, and aTm
Who knew auburn would suck

I honestly thought we'd have 2-3 loses at this point. I also knew this team was loaded with first class talent and just needed a couple of leaders to show the way. Geaux Tigers!!!!

Yes. And went to Nevada and bet on it (as soon as Burrow was named starting QB). All the other talent was there. Just needed the catalyst at QB.
To win the SEC (19 to 1), and to win the Natty (75 to 1).

No but Hell no. Good to see it and hope we beat Bama and move to No. 1

Not me. LSU could get totally stomped and lose by 4 tds or more to Bama. We could end up 9-3, with an ugly loss to aTm on the road. We will still be ranked in top 25, but a lot of the praise will turn to sharp criticism once again. Even if that happens though, it will be a better season than I thought it’d be. I just wonder how quickly fans will turn if two or more losses get added by seasons end.

Didn’t the SEC sports writers predict we’d be last in the West?

Was thinking 15-20ish ranking.

I thought this was a 3- 4 loss season. I figured our chances of getting to 2 losses were maybe possible with Joe at QB. Having him at QB made me more confident in what LSU could do. But looking at the schedule, I thought Auburn, UGA, Bama were definite losses.
I don't think we will beat Bama but it will be close. Hopefully the Bama game doesn't impact the remainder of the games and they can win those. Who knows, is it possible a 2 loss team could work its way into the CFP? It's possible if there are other 2 loss teams. LSU's resume is very stout.

I said before the season we were capable of 10-2, but that was predicated on what I thought would be one of our best defenses in the last 7-8 years. I knew the offense would struggle with all of the new starters and new OC. I thought 9-3 or 8-4 was more likely.
Considering the D has been good, but not dominant I am surprised how well we are doing. This is still not a championship level team and I want to caution fans not to get to down if Saturday does not go as hoped. We may win, but we still are missing some elements to get where we need to be. Just looking at who we likely keep, lose and gain, 2019 is the year to watch.
So I'm enjoying the ride in 2018 and love how this team has come together, but I'm still taking a measured approach to this season.

Let's be honest. No one on this board had the confidence in this coaching staff outside of Goat Aranda, including and especially Coach Ed O.
Add in the loss of Ingram, Tyler Taylor, Drake Davis, Chiasson, etc. etc. Most folks thought that 4 losses was our ceiling.
But "Fuk Dem"

Yes, I thought it depended on UGA. If we were 7-1 going into Bama, I thought we would be top 5. If we were 6-2 then I thought we would be around #12 going into Bama.

my gastro-intestinal sensation was we'd be a couple of wins better than the 7-5 projections... would have one more loss by now, would end the losing streak to Bama but then end the winning streak over T A&M...
So 9-3 was my best guess

No.
Too many new and unknown faces on offense, a new coordinator, and a brutal schedule.
I looked at Miami, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and State thinking our best case was 2 losses going into Bama and that the worst case was -- we're 4-4 with us in full blown melt down, clean house mode.
I'll give Coach O credit, at this point, for the transfers he's signed, the analysts and assistant coaching moves he's made... and he's been aggressive. It's all worked out so far.

I knew we could be a 2 loss team. I didnt think we'd beat UGA tho. I thought we'd beat UF.
I also think we are in good position to beat Bama. Mostly because A&M is the best D they have played and they are 89th in Yards per play given up. out of 130.
