Who was better. I haven’t looked at stats. Mike Hollander or Tyler Hanover.
Posted on 4/8/19 at 10:09 am to nicholastiger
Some of these names don't belong in the lists with the others.
How the hell is Hess even listed as a SP and his career as a SP has been so up and down and it's not even over with yet?

Ralph Rhymes Was a better version of a hitter like Chris Reid is. He wasn’t a power hitter as for as HR,s go but damm he was good.

I'm just chalking it up to younger posters who haven't been following the team for more than a few years.

Hollander couldn’t throw 120 from 3rd.

Rhymes hit damn near 400 for his career with dumbed down bats. It’s not as big of a stretch as you think.

How old are you if you dont mind me asking? Cause Blake Dean wasnt very long ago and is one of the most iconic players in lsu baseball history imo.

Rhymes was a good hitter,
The back half of his junior* year really eliminated him from this one. At one point pretty late in the year I think he was hitting around .510. He ended the year at .431 and was pretty much an automatic GIDP at the end of the season.
Had he not gone in that huge slump and finished the year around .500 he'd be a much stronger argument IMO. That 2012 team was one that peaked too early as a whole honestly
