I was thinking about this today. Allowing the players to have the basketball goal, the fire extinguisher etc may help in some of the silly celebration penalties you see (e.g Collin Simmons, etc). They know what they have coming when they make a big play so you hope that reduces the need to act like you have an extra long dong pretend you are pissing all over someone.

After watching eye in the sky with Flynn and Hester I just hope we run more RPOs and tell leavitt to hand it every time. Would have prob won the game bc we would have had some big run plays in 1st quarter.

That’s my biggest take away. We played god awful for majority of game on both sides and still had a shot. If Trey’Dez doesn’t go down we might win that game which would have been crazy given how it started and how I felt about that game at halftime. Everyone needs to relax. Let’s see how we do this weekend.

I was getting annoyed in the first half when they would play the piped in music all the way up until we snapped the ball. It seemed to stop in the 2nd half. I remember that in 2023 as well.

Pretty sure we don’t do that and I wished there was some rules enforced here. Atleast with a warning the first time. No reason to not cut it off when the team is set up initially.

Good point.
As bad as we played it was mostly defensively in the first half. And even up until 3rd down we weee doing very well. Trinidad is probably going to win the heisman so there’s hope that maybe the defense is actually pretty good (being at home will help for sure) and can do better against a mediocre Reed.

Run the damn ball. Thats it. A good running game is a QB best friend. We have a good RB need to start out setting the tone and then let our QB make some plays. They need to work with leavitt on making plays while scrambling. Still looking to pass first. He did it the one time he had to on 3rd down and it worked out. He could have done it in the 4th on first down and instead forced the run and we wound up not scoring.

I was more worried about green. I was at the game. Leaving the game I was more upset about potentially losing him for season vs losing to ole miss (again). Wife and her sisters family are all Ole Miss fans. Really wanted this one.

If what being reported is true we dodged a major bullet.

Wondering about spears too. Don’t remember him going down.
