That is true. I was speaking more about the SEC. The NCAA is not winning those suits in any of the state courts, so

In the Harris and Wright lawsuit, it’s going to be difficult for Sankey and the SEC to defend its actions and force LSU to not put them on its roster when several other teams have “pro” players on their rosters.

There isn't one. Except Sanky is butt hurt because he is pissed Kiffin left Ole Miss to come to LSU and doesn't like how it went down. And now that they have seen what this team looks like in it's first game, nobody likes that Kiffin is at LSU with the resources LSU is giving him. Not Tennessee, not Alabama, Texas, TAM none of them.

While Kiffin and the football team are getting the headlines and prompting the "outrage", make no mistake, the SEC's disdain for Wade is part of this too.
Wade is trying to roster several international pro players...of which there are ~75-100 on roster all throughout the country. The NCAA rules don't prohibit signing international pros...well, except maybe if they are too good.
And for further SEC hypocrisy and double-standards, the league hastily adopted a post hoc rule prohibiting anyone who was drafted by the NBA from playing college sports. Yet, curiously, that doesn't apply to baseball? Wade is trying to roster Saliou Niang. According to the SEC he is ineligible because he was drafted by Cleveland with the 58th pick in 2025. Keep in mind, he's never played US college basketball, nor has he played in any US pro league.
Now juxtapose him with Logan Schmidt. He has never played college baseball or in a US pro league. He, ironically, was drafted by Cleveland (baseball) with the 59th pick. Yet, him playing for LSU is totally fine.
The bottom line is this. In a climate where the eligibility rules are ambiguous and inconsistently enforced, and where a eligibility is just a court ruling away (everywhere, including in the SEC), the SEC hates that Kiffin and Wade are willing to push the envelope and point out the NCAA's/SEC's hypocrisy. They aren't willing to just sit in the corner and watch their competitors gain advantages simply to maintain some "moral high ground" that for their competitors is vague and ever changing.
Fans, including LSU fans, like to virtue signal and sit on their moral high horse. But when you get down to core of fandom the ONLY thing fans actually care about are wins and losses..even if they want to pretend otherwise. There are two types of fans. Those who pretend that isn't true to make themselves feel better, and those who know it is.
For me, as a fan, my only ask of Wade and Kiffin is to win. You don't need to tell me how the sausage is made. In fact, I really don't care how it is made.
JUST WIN BABY!

The SEC made a rule after twitter reports that these two players were coming to LSU. They made the rule AFTER court papers had been filed.
There are dozens of players across the SEC playing due to court TRO. But the SEC isn't suing the schools where those players ended up. Only at LSU does the SEC think they can sue the school because players got a court appointed TRO.
WE KNOW.!!!!
Nobody is saying its right or wrong. Nobody is saying they agree or disagree. They are simply pointing out where that line is drawn. Bc you are too stupid to comprehend that isn't really anybody else's problem.

Ole Miss booted him.
Tulane's coach had a agreed to take a new job, they let him coach the playoffs.
James Madison's coach had agreed to take a new job, they let him coach the playoffs.
We have already established you aren't the brightest crayon. But can you need see a clear difference between Ole Miss to LSU and the other two situations?

Because of the timing of the new ruling and the arbitrary nature of where the SEC chose to draw the line; it could be argued that the primary purpose of the new rule was to target LSU/Lane Kiffin.

We can argue whether the line that the SEC has drawn is stupid, but the line is signing a UDFA contract. Minicamp participation does not require signing a UDFA contract.
The SEC retroactively added that attending any mini camp in any capacity disqualifies a player.

I don't think signing an UDFA contract or not is the line either bc a professional athlete in a different sport can come back to college and play without any issues. They need to define what they consider professionalism before they start worrying about the difference between rookie mini camps and training camps.

But their coach is not Lane Kiffin,
Arkansas and Alabama have both violated SEC rules and Commish Stinky has eyes only on Baton Rouge.

Can someone make a thread and pin it to the top of other SEC and OOC teams that have players on their teams that tried out for an NFL team?
So far I know Texas had one, has since been let go, South Carolina I believe has a kicker, now Arkansas
So we have
LSU
Texas
South Carolina
Arkansas

So did Zach Stewart play seven games of professional baseball over the summer without getting paid? Charles Bediako signed a two way contract with the Spurs before returning to college. Why doesnt that count?
Where was the SEC?

The SEC and 15 other school presidents arbitrarily drew a line after the fact, to affect just the LSU players and not the players on their own teams then spent 3 days telling the world they were kicking LSU out of the conference for being renegades.

The fact that they didn't define "contract" is hilarious. I hope the 2 players get a lot of money out of Stankey.

I think Missouri is on this list.

I think that was the NCAA. Texas has a player who attended two minicamps.
