I’m rolling with JD.

Hopefully Denbrock let’s the offense play fast like we were doing the last 3 drives the rest of the way.

Why are you assuming Jaden is the best player? CBK for months said how close they were, so either he lied or you don't know what the frick your talking about

What?

I’m assuming Kelly went with the better option because he’s trying to win. Why would he not go with the better QB?

Solo Daniels was good Saturday night. Without him we don’t come close to tying it up. What more did you want from him. Statistically, he was the best qb in College Football in week 1

OK! Do you believe Tiger Stadium will be half full, after a similar offensive performance vs an SEC team..

Fwiw, it’s wasn’t a terrible offensive performance. It wasn’t burrow-Esque but it wasn’t terrible.

We drove the ball inside the 10 yard line 5 times on 7 possessions (not counting end of half). We also gave up two more possessions with muffed punts.

ETA: So, 23 points on those possessions.
+3 for a blocked fg and +1 for a blocked pat (both of which I think we can agree are anomalies in football). Siting at 27. Then take the two muffs away and say we split there and get either a td or a fg on one (so give us 5 points for the split).

32 points without the possibly worst ever in the history of football special teams performance. I think most fans would have taken 32 points before the game Sunday.

Note: I understand those things happened but that’s conservatively 9 points special teams cost you, nothing to do with offense.

Burrow is the ceiling and nobody will touch that ceiling. Generational talent….we have to stop comparing qb’s to Burrow. Daniels was good Saturday night.

You literally watched that entire game and you came away with…… it’s Daniels fault. Our fanbase is clueless.

Do some of y'all REALLY think these coaches getting paid millions and millions of dollars, with all the pressure in the world on them in their first game, would purposely play a QB that didn't give them the best chance to win?

Simply because they're "committed to" a certain style? Think about that shite for a minute.

You're a fan sitting there with your fat arse on the couch, meanwhile your coach is the winningest active coach in college football and has been employed at this job for 30 years.

And you think he's doing the opposite of everything he can to win the game, simply because he's stubborn and wants to stick to some style, because Joe Blow fan on his couch thinks he knows better

If Boutte hangs on to JD's first pass as a Tiger we're not having to listen to any of this nonsense!!

There is a team out there with a great OL that can pass block and run block with good RBs that Nuss may very well be the better QB. But this team ain’t it. And I love Nuss. But we’d have gotten blown out had he played most of the game Sunday.

He would have gotten sacked several times when Daniels eluded pressure. He wouldn’t have had 125+ yards rushing that Daniels had (whatever it was minus the sack yardage), and he likely would have thrown 2 or 3 really bad picks. His big arm and confidence in it is what we love about him, but would have been a huge disadvantage Sunday night with all those guys in his face all night.

His time will come—and it likely will at some point this year as Daniels is almost inevitably gonna get banged up at some point this year—let’s hope it’s far enough in the future that our OL has found the right 5 and started to gel and Emery is back and significantly better than the 3 now(who are not good). But the team as it stands right now is not set up for Nuss to have success.

But finally, frick you and your ilk. We can have 2 good QBs and like them both. You don’t have to choose your favorite and shite talk the other one—who actually played a really nice game. It not only makes you an idiot, it makes you an a-hole.

Jayden Daniels is good

ASU good maybe. I'm not sold on LSU good. I'm concerned about his lack of size. The hits are about to start coming

What gives you the impression Nuss is the better of the 2 QB’s to put us in the best position to win? You know more than BK, Sloane, and Denbrock? BK ain’t Lester -

C’mon guys, y’all are better than this

Did the QB cost us this game?

No, a poorly coached team did. 2 muffed punts, 2 missed assignments on kick protection, horrible offensive game plan. That cost us the game.

The first game is the floor for this offense. There’s easy fixes for everything but JDs instinct to bail out of the pocket instead of stepping up and moving to space with his head down the field. He’ll get there he impressed me. Also missed a few reads but his legs are useful.

But wasn’t he outstanding running the ball? We called 13 running plays the entire game, use him and build the offense around his obvious advantages instead of calling it like he’s Tom Brady dropping him back 55 times.

So you spent all summer evaluating who should run the offense? What in the world makes you think Nuss would come out and dominate and don’t you think if he was as great as you say, he would have beat out Daniel’s in the off-season?

He's awesome against prevent defense. 55% of his passing yards came on the final drives against it...

And what % of his rush yards came before that? He did a good job taking what the defense was giving him. Early on, that was rush yards. Later, it was passing. The fact of the matter is they drove into the red zone on all but two drives. They moved the ball effectively all night. They just couldn’t get the ball back for the middle part of the game.

Denbrock isn’t the answer.

thanks for proving you know NOTHING about football concepts and never watched any denbrock film.DO you know how much of the Offense JD has grasped? how much of the playbook has denbrock gotten installed? canada only had 20% for the BYU opener. you can have the best plays and concepts in the land denbrock cannot execute for them. he will review and adjust and add more to the playbook as we move on.
