They couldn’t spring for another 10k? Lol

Will the bands flash the same way both times they play Callin Baton Rouge? Or will they do something a little different the second time?

I sincerely hope that these 'LED wristbands' were not purchased from Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Nicely done!

As far as I can tell, this lasted at least til the early 60's. Maybe some older folk can shed some light on why this was a thing, and how it finally ceased to be a thing
Early 70’s. Most back then saw tickets to the games as social status. There were parties before the games and sometimes afterwards. My first game in TS was sometime in ‘70-‘71. All the men around us were in suit and tie.

That must have been fun on those humid September nights.

Not crazy about these gimmicks being the focus instead of the crowd being loud and intimidating.

It will be an amazing sight at halftime watching all the wristbands swinging down Nicholson Dr.
Damn, beat me to it.
Going to look like a purple river that spills out onto a parking lot.

Lol. How dare we try to add excitement to the fan base.

I heard from someone in admin that it will spell out STTDB across the bowl.

If they would invest in a Wifi system that is worth a Damn people could do this off of their phones!

This is a better idea than the dumb light show

Will they be choreographed for 'Neck'?

The wristbands are a part of the light show

Man, that was back in '70-'71, way before 'Global Warming' even became a topic of discussion!

It's a great idea. I like the over head pic where they learned to make all the lights one color. Instead of just flashing everything wildly.

How it will work out
Drunk students managing to work STTDB into everything.
Curmudgeons refusing to participate
Little kids and dorky adults loving it.

If you are going into the game, please make sure to use the wristband that is in your designated seat. Do not start collecting them for friends or trading them with others around you. They are programmed specifically for each seat. It explains it in the article but I just want to emphasize this.
100% this is happening. People will lose their minds over "free" 10 cent trinkets.

Sometimes I wonder what people in the 1960s would have thought of what football games have become. Not that they are bad or worse. Just different.
I can remember thinking in the 80's i can't wait to get home and see a replay of that
