Holy Rowe just held up a thermometer and said it's 163 degrees on Texas's field.

No, she did not misspeak. I had no idea she was that dumb. And her decibel meter reading last week is no longer valid.

You could see on the screen that it said 163. I'm just assuming she screwed something up on how she used the thermometer or had it setup.

The turf fields themselves can get hot as hell. I’m not sure about 163 but they can be considerably hotter than the air temp.

Turf can actually get that hot. Can get like 60-70 degrees hotter than the surrounding air.

That is the turf temp not the air temp.

I had to look it up, but he official highest recorded air temperature on Earth is 134.1 °F. Looks like the record was shattered today
