Just saying boys I did actually have the sauces, in the thread not bragging will link it, said Niang is a done deal. Just have to figure out how to wire the money to the Canary Islands and then send it from there to 2 other people/groups. Not saying I scooped Woj but later today when I know tell you when the next commitment will be. Thanks you guys yesterday was crazy witnessing how that went down. Also wanna say, even if I get banned, we have one player currently on the team. Just 4 coaches, kinda 5 when you include Ronald Dupree. And with Niang falling, then the next domino. Within five or take 8 days with a skeleton staff get this Elite 8 team built.

7 mil is wild.
Saliou Niang is ready to leave Italy to pursue his NBA dream, with a stop in the NCAA in the meantime. LSU reportedly won the competition against North Carolina, Duke, and a final, powerful push from Kentucky. According to La Repubblica, he will land in Louisiana with an even larger deal than reported in recent days: "The massive figure of 5 million gross dollars read everywhere is actually expected to rise to 7, once the NIL clauses are finalized," writes Walter Fuochi. He confirms that net of taxes and agency fees, "well over half the salary will remain with Niang, even after deducting the 500,000 dollars he will pay to Virtus." The near future is in the United States of America for "Sal," who was selected with the 58th pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in last June's NBA Draft. He will work under the supervision of the Cavs during his collegiate experience. Fuochi concludes: "Viewed from Bologna, with the gentleman's agreement of the inevitable farewell accepted, Virtus

Somebody asked Trilly this morning how much money Wade is really working with. He said “depending on who you talk to they were giving him like 20 mil”
So take that FWIW I guess

If you want to believe UK folks, they made a last minute push to retain Mo Dioubate, but didn't want to match LSU's offer. The rumor is that LSU was offering north of $2 million, maybe as high as $3.
Then the rumor of $5 million offer on the table for Paul McNeil, and things start to not add up
NIL public info is all smoke and mirrors, so take any of these numbers with a grain of salt. Including the $7 million deal.

You can bold and outline that statement. Very true. But even if incorrect, I think this helps us. Start turning the eyes of prospects and agents towards LSU, and get the popular opinion slanted towards LSU Basketball being open for business.

The thinking is that he will be one of the top paid players this cycle, getting equivalent money to a Top 10 or Top 5 portal guy. So, he is certainly getting a big deal, but I doubt its $7 million, esp. given how public the info is all of a sudden.

Confirmed with my guy that Niang is a done deal but the 7 milly amount is no where near accurate. Look for some more Euros soon. Also don’t believe the hype on McNeil I can promise LSU is not offering him anything close to 5.

All of this aligns with the current situation. So, it does raise a question or two about who is putting out these ridiculous numbers and why.

It was also reported it was $7 million.

I think the 5 for Paul came from NC State burners/message boards to make themselves feel better lol. The 7 is probably being pushed by Duke/UNC/UK to make it seem like LSU is overspending to "beat" the blue bloods.
Side note: When the news comes out that Graves isn't going to Duke look for the reasoning to be "Duke pulled out". Even though he told the coaches at Duke like 2 weeks ago he wasn't going there lol.

It appears to have come from a reputable source, b/c I doubt la Repubblica would run with the story based on msg boarder hype.

Joaquim Boumtje Boumtje probably got the money they were planning on holding for Graves.
Graves seems enamored with the draft, but he has started to fall out of the Top 20 on draft lists. I think that is a good sign for LSU.
