seems like it is bad for the players if they keep it quiet and don't maximize their leverage

Bad for player possibly, but good for leverage of the program to keep it private. If player were to use the program for leverage, that might indicate they’re not the type of team player that would be ideal so maybe easier to pass on a player in that type of situation.

maybe. but trying to get the best most high paying job isn't really in indication of bad character

Certainly not in every case, but 100% of the guys just looking for the highest paid offer and care about nothing else obviously has a character flaw you might not want on your team.

This isnt a case where someone is job hunting and narrowing it down to 2 jobs where 1 pays more than the other and thats the deciding factor ultimatly all most else pretty equal.

These are cases of some guys actively going out there and shopping offers from 1 team to the next till they get the highest they can and settle with that. Or extort the school they really want with said highest offer.

even this doesn't seem that bad. like if you have 8 offers from big time schools with fabulous facilities and in decent cities, I bet you could have fun and develop your game at all of them. doesn't really make a difference if its at vandy or Gonzaga or LSU. all of these places seem awesome, and to have that opportunity must be amazing. if you just take the top bid, seems rational and no real indication of poor character. its not like you are choosing to work for Nazis over the British because you are a souless mercenary

I saw this post and am curious why Wade and Stoudamire would be at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. The PIT account states: “Pre-combine tournament where the country's best seniors compete for NBA teams + international scouts.”

Several players there have eligibility remaining, including one particular player that Wade coached last year that was one of the few bright spots on that roster...

some people just have to be rantards others it’s likely case of WDS.

They just don’t learn though, we had this 4 months ago with football. Also if there were leaks all over people would freak out that we have leaks and can’t keep things under wraps. The last 6 months LSU has been good about keeping things under wraps from Kiffin to his portal activity to Wade being hired.

Jalen Reece in the transfer portal.

That’s a very interesting development either way.

Yea with that news we might not see BP for a while because he just came.

Interested in what it means, he wants a better deal or do we have better pieces lined up
