Nearly 70 of the Top 100 players are already off the board. LSU is listed as a contact for 3 remaining players in the Top 25. Graves looks like the best bet if he doesn't go pro. Terrence Hill is on the 2nd day of his Tennessee visit, and McNeil has gone from "following Wade to LSU" to an NC State vs. UNC battle.
However, this doesn't bother me. I think most people expected Wade to go gangbusters in the portal, signing top players left and right. However, I think Wade is taking a different approach. He is a huge analytics guy, and the NIL-era analytics make it clear that you need a core of returning players to compete for Championships. The Final Four teams this season avg. nearly 50% of their minutes this season coming from returning players. I think Wade is looking for a core of younger players that he believes will return to LSU next season. Then, next season, we will see him adding high profile pieces to start making championship runs.

Also, LSU is in the mix for McNeil and Hill. However, Hill is on day 2 of his Tenn visit, and (as expected) NC State is making a huge push to keep McNeil with UNC, also in the mix.
