Trilly Donovan says he continues to hear LSU is trying to close Donovan Dent, and adds "would be hilarious if they end up being awesome after all this."
Dent didn't enter the portal during the official NCAA window, so he is not eligible to transfer to LSU under the Colorado injunction. The announcement will hinge on the timing of the state level injunction that provides ghost transfer protection.
So, Keyshawn Hall might be announced before Dent.

If Wade somehow lands this plane with the Euros plus Dent, Clark, and the guys already signed...will be a top 25 team with or without Luis.
For all intents and purposes with the NCAA rule changes (5 for 5), or at least the attempted rule changes, this is a "one off" year where good players who won't be eligible in the future years MAY be now. Knowing that, Wade is swinging for the fences. This is not some plan B he's been forced into, as the people with hurt feeling over McMahon hope is the case. It is a very calculated gamble with the goal of putting together an unbelievable roster. One that can't be replicated next year.
If it works out and LSU dominates college basketball this season the rest of the country will hate LSU and Wade. But you know who won't give even the slightest of shits about that? Me..as I happily watch LSU win again in the PMAC after 4 miserable years.

Threw shite at McMahon? There were only five people at every game

Sankey indicated that he's recommended to all SEC teams not to pursue the 5th year players under the lawsuit
That would mean Tenn and Fla would be impacted as well as LSU so far

Is this wishful thinking or does Worldwide Will have an in with Keyshawn Hall?

shite, I absolutely LOVE the hate. People don't hate other teams and coaches that suck. Give me all the hate.

I’ve got no problem with McMahon. He took a shot at a higher level and it didn’t work out. I’m sure he did his best but sometimes those coaches don’t workout at higher levels. It’s a crap shoot when hiring from that level. He just didn’t have the fiery personality that you almost need in the Deep South to compete in this conference. Plus didn’t do really anything to try and promote the program to the fans. Wish him the best and no hard feelings and no reason to crap on someone for challenging themselves at a higher level when the opportunity comes up. Really glad to see the excitement and energy back in the program though. Like Wade said it’s gonna be entertaining one way or the other. Either he will have sustained success or get fired from same school twice in the span of less than a decade

His statement, while confusing, didn't place any restrictions on teams signing 5th-year transfers. He basically said that, in the absence of official guidance on 5th-year transfers, teams should review the underlying court orders and follow any applicable current transfer rules. So, don't sign any ghost transfers.

A poster a few pages back in this thread mentioned that he's hearing Luis is expected to be ruled eligible.
I tend to agree. I don't think that RJ is down here shooting on campus just working on his game.

quote:The NCAA has basically lost every court case the last 4+ years. Even if the current 5/5 state court rulings don't include ghost (players 5/5 players that didn't enter the portal while the window was open), it's easily to go court in your local jurisdiction and ask all players a ghost waiver for the 2022 class - the 5/5.

Lane Kiffin himself said it's unfair to the "kids" and how can you hold a player from one place only to go back to that place or not play at all. Just like all NCAA, no real direction and absolute clueless. Just trying to remain relevant after raking billions upon billions for decades.
That shite is highly unlikely winning in court with the amount of lawsuits the NCAA will face.

are ok with a mediocre team
Because that would be miles better than McMahon teams who were absolute shite. I don’t care about the circumstances.
You morons are ridiculous. You say we don’t know what his nil was. So what, his recruitment rankings were good and his teams were terrible and even worse TERRIBLY COACHED.

If that guy’s really a coach and couldn’t see that what we were doing schematically and on a fundamental level wasn’t going to work no matter the talent, there was some kind of personal issue that blinded him.

PMAC gonna be packed and rockin for Tennessee, Texas, Vandy, Florida, and Arkansas. I can’t wait for this year. I get excited just thinking about it.

Sec Teams clamped up our offense, our offense had no rhythm
That was a big takeaway I noticed especially last season
Like we would run a set and sec teams would just be ALL over it
It was honestly insane how much sec teams really clamped up our offense
