If my business is going to pay a kid for his name, image and likeness there will be clauses in the contract that require certain things. You miss class, you get suspended, you don't perform, etc then you don't get as much money or the contract is void over serious issues.

If true, it wasn't so much about the money but about him using it as leverage due the best deal. Ideally a kid would use more than just money to make an important decision like that.

It's amazing how Perkins ended up at LSU, if Kelly has a salary cap, if you will, then Perkins was obviously under it and must have actually wanted to come to LSU.
Also, I hope they low-ball anyone that LSU recruited that ends up in the portal a year later looking at LSU.

It's surely the right call because it was set a negative precedent for future recruiting. I think it'll sort itself out over time.

It's been alleged that perkins turned down more money from florida and arse&m to rep the boot.

I remember many posts beginning with "I'm told", "Believe what you want from this" (the way he begins this thread), and "I'm just passing along information" among other classics.
The dude doesn't have sauces and is nothing more than an attention whore - at best. He wants you to think he's an "Insider" and has sports knowledge but he has no sauces and doesn't know his a-hole from the Press Box.

I have no idea if true but with covid and the quarantine rules for coming in close contact, siblings or a student testing positive, 50+ days is believable. Obviously this is different than "skipped" but I can see where 50 days of missed school gets misconstrued a little.

I gotta be honest, I had him figured all wrong just like many others. Recruiting is extremely unpredictable, if anything.
