Hard ot get a real grasp on all these foreign players and how they'll fit in here (until we know the full team) but my guess is this guy is a bench player for us. Averaged about 7 points in 14 minutes a game in euroleague and just 1.6 boards a game (0.3 blocks). Pretty weak "big man" (boards/blocks) stats for a 6'9 250 pounder so seems more like a 10-15 minute a game bench rotation big here.
Fundamental misunderstanding of what happens in Euroball and how it works

Told yall we are going the Indiana-Cig route. Gonna be playing a bunch of pros vs joes.
It’s why landing both Lane and Wade were so important. Both understand this new NIL/Portal world better than anyone and the funny part is, they’re both going to exploit it and ultimately bring about the change and safeguards that are badly needed. And then they’ll readjust again. In the meantime, keep gaming the system

I perfectly understand how euroball works and how many players dont play a ton of minutes and they rotate heavily.
1.6 boards, almost no blocks and 3.2 fouls in just 14 minutes a game is not good stats for a big man though. He can score, thats about it, as the write up on him pretty much clearly states in OP

The LSU brand continues to be the strongest University worldwide

I think you don't understand why these young guys don't play as many minutes. Its a tale as old as time over there.
Edit: I am coming across as a dick here, but I am not trying to be. A lot of people just aren't that familiar with how younger talented guys are treated vs the older EuroLeague lifers

Again I perfectly understand how things work over there. I am evaluating him on the time he did play, and the reaosn he probably didnt play more is because he is a scorer and nothing else. Poor rebounding stats, poor defender and fouled a ton (3.2 in 14 minutes is VERY high). You arent gunna play a guy like that 25 minutes a game because he simply isnt good enough overall. If you foul all the time it's hard to play "starter" minutes in the euroleague or anywhere. Nwoko here struggled with this constantly.
He's also not really THAT young for euroball standards, this isnt a 19-21 year old. He was 23 this season turning 24 later this year. Not trying to say he's old, but this isnt a case where its a very young guy they are bringing along slowly or are trying to not get noticed. He just hasnt played well enough to earn 20 something minutes a game in euroleague. If he was a solid defender grabbing 4 boards in 14 minutes and averaging nearly a block, I would think much differently about his limited minutes.
Based on the fact he's probably one of the older foreign players we'll get, I just think based on his play he's probably a bench player here next year depending on what other bigs we get. I imagine we're going to get a couple more who are simply a little better overall players than this guy is (guys who rebound, at least for starters).

So he’s versatile and can really score and not a good defender but he averages 7 points per game? …wtf

It will be nice to have a big who can’t be left alone on the perimeter. Without context, his rebounding numbers are a little low at tel-aviv, but closer to what you would expect in FIBA games.

this is going to be so weird
a team full of grown Euro pros
frick it, Elite 8 or bust

I love what Wade is doing here. Building a team of guys that have actually played professional basketball overseas, that have played against grown men, and all guys who want to show off in the US for the NBA...
While I agree this will likely yield a good team this year, and i understand why he's doing this, this is not what college basketball is supposed to be, and i don't like it.
I do not want to watch 23 year olds who played professionally overseas playing in college. This is stupid.
are we not going to have any freshman on this team, or at least some sophomore transfers?
this is a team, even if they do really well, I will have zero attachment to b/c the players aren't here to play for LSU. It's just another stop along their professional journey of earning a living. and it is beyond stupid that there are guys that are going to make more money for a year in college than 1st round draft picks are going to make in the nba.
I hate what "college" sports is becoming.
all that being said, i will be getting season tickets this year with our General back, as i haven't had them since he left.

He’s a quality depth piece that we beat out Kentucky on. He played in the summer league with the Hawks too and has spent a little time on the Brazilian national team. He’s probably played more games as a pro than most 5th year seniors have played college
His 3 pt shooting is awesome for a big man. He’s averaging those totals too in back up minutes. Tel Aviv is one of the best teams in the Euroleague.
Kentucky really thought they had him , but decent enough quick breakdown. Solid offensive game but can’t guard at all
a poor man’s Luka Garza

I'm excited we got someone and I admittedly don't know a thing about him but I laughed a little when the release said he can really score and then below that it shows he's averaging a little over 6 points a game.
That league is 2nd only to the NBA. NCAA will feel like lighter competition to him. And he didn't play a ton of minutes.
I see no reason this guy can't be a 12-14 pt/game guy for us easily, and potentially more. He's got a good stroke for a 6'9" player, just needs to stay out of foul trouble.
Hopefully the others we get are complimentary to the two we have.

Low minutes as a backup in a very good professional basketball league.
How many really good college basketball players have gone to this league and done worse than this? Plenty. The inverse is likely true.
I also love the sort of Curt Cignetti strategy here. Having a super old team in college. Physical and mental development between 18 and 22-23 (this case 24

He appears to be aggressive and physical in his style. Can shoot and has some offensive abilities for sure. As a defender it seems he is aggressive and physical there when going after blocks and rebounds and often jumps into the offensive player too much fouling with the body. Don't know enough about him to know if this needs to be corrected so he doesn't foul out every game or is he that aggressive in his current games because he knows he will only be out there 10-15 minutes a game anyways so he can just go all out during that time not worrying about fouls? similar to a relief pitcher that doesn't have to save something in the tank for a long outing. We will see, glad to have him.

This is awesome yet bizarre. Imagine getting a call about a new job opportunity. It's overseas. And the pay is great. But. You also need to enroll in college as part of the new job. Incredible to think about the major life changes these guys will be making to ball for LSU!

Defense, rebounding and fouling will probably keep him off the floor enough he cant quite get to these numbers
As others have said, he's expected to be a bench/rotational piece, not a 25-30 minute a game starter. Also keep in mind while all of Division I basketball might a step down competition wise from euroball, SEC play most certainly isnt....SEC teams in general have most of the roster who is at least good enough to play pro in euroball and more than a handful good enough for NBA/G-league. It's a very very talented league overall.
If he can average 7-8 points in 14-15 minutes a game here, we will absolutely take that
