see no reason this guy can't be a 12-14 pt/game guy for us easily,
Fouls are a huge issue here. It’s hard to see that improving vs better athletes z
I could see him carving out a stretch big role. He has a nice shot.

Go to the other basketball mega thread, someone else mentioned it there and in another tweet mentions how he is just a scorer and nothing else really (poor defender, doesnt rebound).
Because this guy doesnt defend, rebound etc....he is not a well rounded player. He is out there to do 1 thing which is score, it's hard to play 25-30 minutes a game if you foul all the time and dont even really play on 1 end of the floor. Doesnt matter the level.
This isnt trying to be a slight to him or the pickup, it's just showing we will have even better bigs than him ultimately, which is absolutely a good thing. You HAVE to have bigs out there who are willing rebounders and can defend properly if you are expecting them to get starter minutes.

The only people who think he’s our starting center are Kentucky fans, NC State fans, and Pear haters.

Important question- Can he rebound?

No, 1.6 in 14 minutes in euroleague
Again this is a 1 dimensional player, he just scores, thats it
Not expected to get starter minutes here

This guy is turning 24 in 6 months, he's not an NBA caliber player. If he was, he would have been drafted by now. He spent a little time in the summer league and basically got next to no minutes a couple years ago.
He will be expected to have a similar role here, while probably making more money, thats why he's coming here. We arent kidding around on the money being thrown to these guys. They arent coming over here for pay cuts.

I think it could we alittle off looking at his averages….
He’s rebounding against grown men in the euroleague.
I expect a little bit better here but no he is not a great rebounder but won’t be horrible like that average says…
He’s more of a stretch 4 player.

It's not getting any easier in the SEC.
Dont know why some on here think this is easier competition path than playing in the Israeli league or euroball. Sure against ULM or something, but SEC teams have really talented bigs overall, pretty much any of them playing a ton of minutes are euro-pro level and a handful of them will be in the NBA or G-league at worst.

Again, is this just you saying this? Has Wade said this?
This guy isn't coming from Macabi to US College Basketball to play limited minutes.
He's coming to play significant minutes

Rebounding is one of the most projectable stats regardless of competition. Good HS rebounders translate very often as good college rebounders. Vice versa, guys that don't dominate the boards in HS won't all of a sudden do it in college. I think the same can be said for Euro guys too. If they weren't good rebounders before coming to college, they won't all of a sudden be better at it when they get here.

I'd argue that he's coming for the money. If he could make more playing in Europe, then he'd stay there. Would you rather play 15 minutes a game and make $600k or go to the US, get more NBA exposure and play 15 minutes while making over $1M?

I already told you, look at the other thread, someone else mentioned it as wel las another tweet mentioned hkim being just a 1 dimensional player (doesnt defend). Someone else in this thread also said he's probably a rotational guy here, not a starter. Also its not hard to look at a player what he's done, know what else we're probably getting and realizing a guy who can only score as a big who cant defend, rebound and fouls a ton is probably not playing 25-30 min a game here. It's hard to get those kind of minutes ANYWHERE as a big if you're not doing many of the "big" things even close to average.

Wade specifically said we're going to have a rotation of 7-8 guys ultimately, that means 2-3 (potentially 4 if we end up paying 9) guys are coming off the bench, probably playing a bit less minutes. This guy fits that mold perfectly. He only scores, doesnt rebound, doesnt defend, fouls a ton. He's not getting 25-30 minutes a game especially if we have guys like Graves and some others we're being mentioned with as bigs. You thin kthis guy will get as many or minutes than Graves who is being mentioned as a 1st round NBA talent at 19?

He's coming to play significant minutes
He's coming here because we'r epaying him more, not a hard concept
