What’s your go to treatment for ant mounds?

Bifen granules.

Where can you buy it?

Fill a watering can and add the recommended amount of permethrin. Use a stick to poke a hole in the center of the mound as deep as it’ll go. Soak the mound.

ETA: Boiling water will also work as long as the mound isn’t near any desirable vegetation that could be harmed.

this winter if you have a hard freeze forecasted hit the stubborn mounds with a hoe the night before

my dogs can smell the amdro so I don’t use it anymore

I forget what it's called, maybe Orthene. Teaspoon anywhere on a mound or near their travel paths and they are gone.

This. Works amazingly. Sprinkle a modest amount on the mound and walk away. They are dead or gone within 24 hours. Never regretted buying it.

Grandpa told me to pee on them when I was a kid. Grandpa drank a lot of beer though.

Amdro has killed every mound I’ve put it on including giant mounds in the woods in Mississippi. Make sure to follow the instructions well. Unless they are crazy ants?
