It seems like any time you criticize steroids or steroids users you get immediately ambushed by the steroid defense force like a pack of angry hyenas fighting over a zebra carcass. Regardless of whether or not the steroid defense force individuals even use steroids themselves.

Why are steroid users and steroid usage so heavily defended?

I am not impressed by what steroid users can do, sorry. I don't get the appeal anyway. So you take on massive health risks, risk infertility, shrink your testicles, increase injury risk and reduce your life expectancy for what? So you can look bigger? For what benefit?

Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler, etc. would be nobodies without steroids. Their success is completely synthetic. Therefore they are losers who will die early and suffer from agony the rest of their lives. Ronnie Coleman already is. Seems like that guy needs to make a hospital a permanent residence.

Now I await the steroid defense force to invade this thread.

Both of those dudes have forgotten more about hard work than most people will ever know.

I white knight for them for the same reason I white knight for weed and all drugs to be legal. Same reason i white knight for people to be able to say stupid arse shite, for gun rights, freedom of religion etc......I believe in personal freedom period. If what you do, doesnt affect my personal property rights or those of someone else, you should be able to do it.

Also its not like they just inject and dont work hard. Also as far as being nobodies....not really. Their competition use the same things, yet they are better. They would be better if all natural. In fact Ronnie was a championship level natural pro BB and powerlifter before ever using anything.

Health risk in general are way way over blown for the normal user. Way underblown for those that use liek Ronnie and Jay.

Personally i hate the look of them and think super heavies should be no bigger than they were during arnolds era, but im not involved in BB in any way. I respect the work and sacrifice both had to make to achieve goals, but their choices are not ones i would make.

I feel like people that don’t use steroids give them too much credit for what they do and people who use them give them too little credit for that they do.

Without steroids these two would be smaller versions of the winners they are. If you take them from them for your argument, you need to take the reason they did them as well which was everyone was doing them in their sport.

Their work ethic is what set them apart from their peers, also on roids. Ronnie Coleman competed naturally before roids and belonged. Roids gave him equal footing with the pack for his work ethic and mental fortitude to beat them.

I don't defend its use from a health standpoint, just from a personal freedom side. What those guys put in their bodies was really unhealthy, and gave moderate users a bad name. You can see it even with the TRT threads, people calling it roids and shite.

But what they choose to do is their business, not mine.

bullshite, I'm just more vocal than most. You definitely like to reference it almost as much as I post in those threads. So if that's bizarre, so is your obsession with my posts about the topic.

It's not like steroid users are only bodybuilders.

You can bet the vast majority of high-level professional sports and competition athletes are all on gear of sorts. Olympic athletes, crossfit, football, you name it. All of these athletes push the human body well past the usual limits, even by genetic freak standards, and that's true for bodybuilders as well.

The best of the best bodybuilders have freak genetics and work their asses off as well as take gear and you are dismissing their genetics and hard arse work simply because they've enhanced what the body is naturally capable of. It's not a choice I would personally make, but they choose to do that to be the best of the best just like any top-level athlete does.

This statement shows you don’t really know what you’re talking about. Even with the drugs, these guys were naturally bigger guys. Genetics plays a big part with their size, but they had to adhere to a brutal training regiment and very strict diet. Steroids help push you past limitations, but that’s hardly scratching the surface in terms of what it takes to be at the top.

Take steroids, don’t take steroids. I don’t really care. But unless you put yourself through what they did, who are you to call them worthless? Also, there is a way to use steroids and minimize the health risks. Ronnie Coleman’s issues don’t stem from the drugs. It was the way he handled injuries that caused his issues.

Is it hard to say if he'd have had those injuries if he was not on gear? Like if you are pushing being your actual limits with gear would he have had so many injuries? IDK I'm just curious. It is fascinating how many people are on it nowadays though. Feels like you about need to be on it to just be on the playing field

RC was pretty well known for pushing through pain. If your back pops while front squatting 500+ for 6-8 reps, then call it a day. That dude was just all in, pain or no pain.

He would take painkillers and go to the gym. His entire spine is fused. Steroids don’t do that,

Why are you concerned with what other people are doing? It doesn't effect you in any way so why do you feel the need to "criticize" steroids? I suggest you stop concerning yourself with other people's business.

I know too many people that think if they shoot up they will naturally just get bigger. They do not understand that amount of work that will still need to be put in.

They might be nobodies with out them, but you know their names with them. What ever happened to my body my choice? Maybe you should try them.
