Do they have lights? Running on a well lit track in the evening is amazing. Getting some movement down below just thinking about it.

I had nice access to a track until a certain sec program decided to tear it down to make way for a new football facility. So now on speed days I run up and down the flattest 1.5 mile drag I can find.

No lights but the ambient light is enough to see what’s going on. Last couple of times I was out there, there were a couple of dinks wearing headlamps on the track which is pretty funny.

So I was planning to pace a friend of mine going for a BQ at the MGCM, with me pacing her for the first half, around 8:00/mile. Figured this should be about a medium effort for me, so fairly easy to pull off. However, after looking at the course, this won't be possible as the course is a point to point with the Half starting at the Full halfway point, both at 7:00 am. I was under the impression that they started at the same line.

Are you Baws that are running this one sleeping somewhere near the race the night before?

Roots ,

I'm traveling in and my wife & daughter are probably sitting it out. I was probably going to get in a couple days before to relax and enjoy some quiet...not much of that in my house haha.

I don't recall any hotels near the full starting line. Most everything is near the finish. they did have a shuttle from the finish line area to the start.

Got a room at the double tree, which is right by the finish line. You’d be fine there or any of the casinos by the stadium. As other poster said, shuttle will drop you off at start.

5.5 miles with my GSP. 8:00 pace. It was his farthest run and my fastest 5 plus miles in a few years. I’m thinking I could PR my 10k which is around 47:30.

Hell yeah, get it!

13 & a quarter today at an 8:43 pace. Started out cold, around 40°, and warmed up to about 60° by the end. I've gotten to the point where I'm not consuming any gels or water during these long runs.

Need help. New runner. Got some hoka bondi 7 as I want max cushion so my body doesn’t get tired so I can still lift heavy. My issue is my calves get SUPER pumped and hurt. I’m not running out of breathe and my body from knee up doesn’t hurt anymore since getting the new shoes. Is it just lack of durability and just need to train it?

Saturday made up for last weekend and ran 14.2. Same thing, I didn’t have any gels or water except it was mid 60’s. I felt fine and ran easy but I really needed some water on that. Im pretty sure that was my first run over 8 since March.
