re: Official Running Log/Marathon Training Thread - Rsande63
kballa, I hope it works for you. For some it does & for some it doesn't. I've made recent jumps with my coach by being more vocal and understanding my body comes before his science/advice. It works for us. ...

re: tOfficial Running Shoe Thread - Rsande63
Had my first fast day ( for me @ 6:40-8:00 one minute bursts ) in the Saucony Endorphin Speed and it was great. Big fan and it will be fun to run in these during my 2021 plans. I'm going to pull the trigger on the Pro or their new version for my fall races. ...

re: Any former pitchers interested in playing in an adult baseball league? - Rsande63
Adult hardball leagues can be awesome or brutal depending on where you live. Savannah Georgia & San Diego were the best ..except in SD they would bring a semi-pro Mexican team up from TJ and they would throw perfect games/ no hit us every time...we were so outmatched it was comical. They eventua...

First run in Saucony Endorphin Speed and I appreciate the recommendations. I'm confident they will get me through my last 7 week training block before my full.. I'm going to be running longer and harder and wanted something different. My evolution has been--> Hoka, Brooks, Nike, Adidas , and n...

This thread actually made me much more comfortable. I honestly thought I'd get flamed like the O-T Lounge does. I'm sure my neighbors will respond the same way since wildlife enthusiasts seem like a close group of people. Just the small things seem big now..I had a 5 mile run in a wooded gree...

Blue Crawford & others thanks. I'm glad you all understand there are some beginners who want to learn & experience the outdoors...Im NOT looking to pay some guide to dress me up like GI Joe with some rich business men and shoot some animal in a cage for a picture....

re: Embarrassed about this, but can you start hunting later in life? - Rsande63
Solid advice so far & I appreciate it. I was probably discounting my friends/neighbors who do hunt. They are super passionate and have mounted deer, elk and other type of game + some from week long trips across the US. When the topic comes up at house parties/ soccer they really get into ballist...

Embarrassed about this, but can you start hunting later in life? - Rsande63
Long story short, I was raised by my grandparents in Breaux Bridge. My grandfather taught me everything and was 100% active in my life but had a bad leg/sort of crippled so we never hunted. From 10 years old till moving after LSU I never wanted to go hunt because I knew he wanted to teach me but ph...

Since Roots is the Sugar Land TD.com Alpha Dog I'll do the admin work for him...a straight road with subdivisions on your left, pass a strip mall , turn around...Roots had to do it twice...brutally bland but I'll never complain about an in-person event. ...

Tornado Alley, Awesome man and excited to see you back in the thread. Roots, Remember I'm bad luck. I brought 97% humidity to Cotter Arkansas and I'll probably bring something equal or worse to Sugarland. It was 34 & thunderstorms today and I had my longest treadmill run & 100% wor...

re: Official Running Log/Marathon Training Thread - Rsande63
I've been throwing around ideas for 2021 after Woodlands Full. My Wednesday tempo/speed work has been really enjoyable for me. Having training miles at the 7:40-8:10 type range is much more fun than the 14+ long, slow, HR runs. I'm going to focus on what I enjoy the most and find a balance. ...

McVick, Appreciate the transparency with your post. I'm trying to stay out of my own head....I need to understand training runs are to train & I'm fighting the urge to turn each one into a race...the marathon has caused some confidence and some doubt...Sometimes I think the only way to not bo...

ELLSSUU, The affiliate link was something Finch would post right before the Walmart release and it would take you straight to a shopping cart with a PS5 in it after a few seconds. We all figured we'd eventually get busted and Walmart would cancel our orders. ...
