Check the park website for how they operate as I don’t think the daily reservation pass to is still valid. Note you can only park at Logan pass visitor center for 3hrs. That lot is your direct access to hidden lake trail which is a 3ish mile hike. Other hiking options really depend on your family’s ability to some degree. Highline trail to the glacier overlook is 16ish miles round trip and decent amount of elevation change and fully exposed if it is a warm day. This also starts at Logan pass but you’ll have to shuttle with the 3hr limit unless you just go for a few miles and turn around. East side of the park you have iiceburg and cracker lake.
I’d look for Airbnb maybe in Columbia falls that way your b/w the west park entrance and whitefish. Rental car availability has been a problem in the past which then dictates where you fly into. Kalispell is close then you can look at Missoula and great falls.
My personal running stinks lately for the most part. I did get to hike around the Banff area for a couple days and will crew/pace at cascade crest 100 tomorrow. Only race in the cards for me is the local Bozeman Bridger Ridge run August 16th. Mostly hopping to not fall down and manage to beat my SO to claim the household trophy. Race is trail run 19ish miles 6k gain 8k decent. Fun times!
Dude that’s awesome. Glad you enjoyed it. Did you cross the river or just meet at far side and make the trek up to green gate. I’ve paced the same section. If anyone has the chance to crew/pace at this race do yourself a favor and go or even make the trip and volunteer at an aid station. Hoka sponsorship has taken this event to another level but it’s still 100% nonprofit organization that puts the money back into the community.

My running is terrible but going out to crew / pace BR runner Michael Demarco at cascade crest in two weeks.
Bocam
How was the experience? WSER is an awesome event. Not many races does the everyday joe get to “race” with the level of runners that are there and the crowd of people that show up to support all. Hope you stayed out for golden hour. My SO was out there to pace our friend. She went 23:23. The crazy stat is how was the top end has gotten.
Evo probably will never wow you but it’s a good shoe for the price and durability. I put 600 miles on my pair. I didn’t like at first but after 50 miles they got better. I have a new pair waiting for my foot to get its act together.

Run in them 30-50 miles before dumping them.
But it’s a net downhill course….you did awesome and I’m sure you will go back in the years to come.

That high didn’t last long. Hope you unloaded the boat bc it tracking to be back down to $15-16 and then who knows once the sector cools.
I don’t understand why the calc is based on gross and not net take home.
More footage shows the leader was impacted by random people on the course in the last 10th of a mile. Crazy finish for sure.
Thought the $20m comes from the ncaa lawsuit settlement not tax dollars
The genie is never going back in the bottle. Too much tax revenue. So since it’s legal effort should be spent shutting down the illegal operators that will still be there if legalized went away. End of the day there’s always going to be vices for people to “choose” from.
Some of you worry about / question the dumbest shite.
Don’t understand this logic. Weather is the one thing you’ll never control. Either you’re trained for a marathon or you’re not. What’s the worst that can happen. You don’t hit that PR. Oh well but you gained experience for the next one if you get another opportunity. Life is short
Nah. Everyone just cruises at 10 min/ mile pace for sub 17hr 100 mile finishes.

Yes road vs trail and then under 5k gain vs 10-20k gain makes big difference for most.

I had some decent races but never felt like I’ve ever had a complete race other than a marathon.

Cccx merger complete. Now trading as INFQ. Anyone still holding? Jumped up to $17.50 but rather volatile.

Badwater finisher. Was 119 at 9pm for 2022 race start. I crewed last year and it didn’t seem as hot.

The park and surrounding area is oddly spectacular.

Didn't see Death Valley on anyone's list. Its so bizarre and totally worth going especially if you're a hiking and can score permits to summit Mt. Whitney while in the area.
Congrats on the 1k milestone.

I was hoping to hit 2.5k but my foot currently has other plans so prob end up at 2250. However I do have 260k of elevation gain.
Have all the business along the route and benefit from the parade pitch in to cover the $50-75k.

If there’s a raising canes along the route that’s open ask Mr billionaire to fund it.

Have all the churches in BR pay property tax for one yr.

There’s endless ways to fund this. And F the organization director for loosely threatening to move the parade
Where did you find great deal on adi pro 4? Cheaper than $150 on adidas site?
