Depends how fat you are to start. A few years ago I went from 220 to ~195 in just under 3 months

Very easy if you are fat. Eat clean, no booze, and exercise hard.

This. If you're morbidly obese to begin with, 20 pounds can come off fast.

If you're trying to get to 8% bodyfat, it isn't happening.

I’ve lost 20 pounds in 20 days... Twice.

Caloric deficit with cardio:
No breakfast
Salad for lunch
Tiny dinner
Half gallon of water a day
Run two miles dripping sweat daily
- when it’s cooler outside I would turn the heat on and in the bedroom put a treadmill. Wear sweatshirt and sweatpants

Depending on your weight, You could lose it without even working out if you’re willing to fast and go strict no carbs, especially if you stick to lean meats

keto was the answer for me.

i decided enough bullshite excuses was enough, and if I was gonna be depressed or angry I was gonna be a fricking monster too.

i bought some dumbbells and a bench for cheap and just set my alarm for 5 every morning.

weirdly, I started laughing more and enjoying myself.

maybe cutting that extra hour or two out in the morning left me more busy with less time to dwell on shite.

I recommend it.

I'm also pretty big now so most other ppl will never mess w me 100

Sure fast 72 hours, breakfast but stay keto using almost exclusively beef. Repeat until you get to the desired weight/bodyfat.

You seem like a guy who enjoys metal and lifting heavy objects. I can relate.

I'm 29 and started at 5'11 215 (now 181). I've lost 34 since August 5th and have honestly been in a stall over the last few weeks. I like to drink and eat bad for LSU/Saints games. What I did:

1 hour Run/Walk at 4:30 each morning
1 Egg for Breakfast
Coffee in morning and water the rest of the day.
For Lunch and Supper: 1 Protein (Pork Loin/Hamburger patty) and 1 veggie (Salad/Squash/Zucchini)

I was heavy on the craft beer and pasta/rice/bread. It honestly hasn't been that hard to shed the weight.

It was... both!
But it worked! The only problem with eliminating your metabolism is that when you go back to eating like crap, the weight comes back three times as fast. After you shed the weight it takes a very gradual process and lots of willpower to get back eating right.

This is like.. 500 calories. If that.

Don't do this.

Definitely don't do this for an extended period of time.

Why can't people get over the "I need fast results" hump and just adopt a healthy lifestyle long-term

The usual safe metric is 2 pounds per week. But if you cut soda and sugar out, you will be less bloated. If its a visual thing.

Also, working abs 3 or more times a week to get them strong to hold your gut in.
