Yes.

Follow up question, since you said "need":

Why?

Is it for a wedding? To look good in pictures? If so, cut the eating and start running. 20lbs in 2 months is easy unless you are already pretty skinny.

For 99% of goals, just focusing on a good diet and workout plan and not sweating whether it's 15 or 20 LB is the best thing to do.

If you gain 5 LB Of muscle and lose 20 LB of fat, you'll look better than if you lose 20 LB of fat and gain no muscle even though the scale only says a 15 LB loss.

You're right - my brain is focused on leaner meat since that is what I personally do. He mentioned pork loin, which is moderately lean as well.

Updated:
Egg - 70cal
6oz 80/20 beef - 426cal
6oz Pork Loin - 204cal

So... it's like 700cal. 750 with veggies if no dressing is used.

Not much better.

It can be done. I started low carbing (again) recently. I'm currently down 6 pounds and I'm on my 16th day. I wasn't morbidly obese to begin with, just kinda fat for me. I've been in ketosis for about 5 or 6 days so far, that I know of. Could have been longer, but I didnt Start testing my piss until then. 25 carbs or less a day. Didnt add any cardio, and maintained same weight lifting routine. Sure half of that is probably water weight, but still. I'm expecting to be down about 15 pounds by the 60 day mark. Last time I did it (18 or so months ago) I dropped 23 pounds in about 10 or 12 weeks.

Yep. And I got fat again.

BUT... since March of this year I’ve done it right and it’s working big time.

Damn y'all coming at me hard . I'm not stupid strict on it. I'm probably following this strictly for 5 days a week and even then if I feel like eating a small snack I don't feel bad about it.

The guy asked a question and I've answered it. The answer is yes it is very possible. I feel great and the results have spoken for themselves. I don't plan on going back to my old eating/lazy habits anytime soon so I'm not concerned with putting weight back on. To each their own this has worked quite well for me and may work well for him.

this is how people do it for a long time. Combined with the fact the above estimate is on the low side

5 days at 900 = 4500 Friday night at 1800 and Saturday sunday at 3500 w beer = avg 1900 cal a day with a tdee of 2000, equals an avg of 100 cal a day deficit. Most people aren't honest about how much snacks and cheating they do

I lost 45 lbs within two months earlier this year. Doing no breakfast, no alcohol, and exercising bigly. Was eating about 1500-1700 calories/ day during that time.

So there are two ways of going about this so you lose fat and not a shite ton of muscle. It you are not obese you will lose some muscle though.

If you care about strength, pretty simple-3 full body workouts a week. Any program like gslp, 531 100% awesome, RPT, PPL etc will work. Lift heavy, lift with fast bar speed and get done in under 90 min.

For diet- fast on non lifting days. On lifting days eat 300g of protein minimum from whole foods, then carbs before workouts only. So before working out, do 1-2 pieces of fruit and about 90 min before do 100g brown rice, intraworkout use hcbd. Fats come from the meets. Try and stay in the 2500 Cal range max if male.

Velocity diet- just read and follow. But no solid meal every night like 3.0 says. Once a week only.

Protein soaring modified fast. Lift 2 times weekly for 45 min. Follow rapid fatloss handbook guidelines.

Last option is longer fast. I prefer people just do 72 hour fast. They break the fast eating meats only. Lots of it. They lift om that day. Full body, a vertical lift day. Repeat and do a horizontal lift day. Do u til you reach goal weight.

The above are pretty much the only ways to go about really rapid fatloss without losing a ton of muscle.

Lose 20lbs or drop 20 lbs of fat?

Fat? Easy - lift heavy, drink water, eat meat

Enjoy

There is NO REASON to be that fat at that age. It's bad enough when you're 40+ but if you're in your twenties you should be too ashamed to go outside.

What the frick is wrong with people

Oh for sure. The tons of water helped and actually so did the two miles running in extreme heat. I’m sure my body was on survival mode.
It was a struggle but like the OP, I wanted fast results and didn’t care about the means to get them. Dropped 20 lbs. in 20 days. People were shocked. I just told them “very strict diet and exercise.”

I’ve lost 22lbs this month doing intermittent fasting and eating 1 low carb meal a day. Pushups everyday and biking 3-5 times a week
